I admit I am a hardcore sadist when it comes to fictional love stories. Today, I was hooked & booked by every crook and cranny. Right from Kumud's numbness to the whole situation to her hatred towards Saras. From Saras' desperate need to get to her. Yes I did genuinely feel bad for him today especially in the precap. It felt like his life had just been taken away from him. I loved how Kumud held on to that white cloth to remind her of Saras' betrayal. She lo(ve)athes him and how. I did wonder whether the writers had forgotten about the symbol of love Kumudsundari of the novel took with her after marriage i.e. the letter which she kept hidden in her blouse. But here Kumud had burnt everything except that white cloth. A symbol of unsuccessful love, betrayal and pain. There are no sweet memories for this Kumud.

What I love about the situation is that even though Kumud seems like a zinda laash, she isn't a statue. She's not dumb. That's her strength. But while she says she is doing it for her parents, I also see her pride as a significant reason to get married off. She has been hurt terribly so has her self-respect. The pace is absolutely brilliant and I'm sure tomorrow the 100th episode will be the most memorable one yet.

Both Gautam and Jennifer are doing a fabulous job as are the supporting actors.

Same here. Call me a sadist/masochist but I can't help but go eeep all the way when such tracks come; For me this is one of the most interesting and addictive track of SC till now. The raw emotions that both the actors are showcasing on our screens are so strong and so intense that it can surely burn my screen and break it into a zillion pieces. I can cry my eyes out while seeing this and yet watch it 20 more times to just feel the same upsurge of emotions which make me attached to this drama. I can feel that betrayal, I can feel that pain, I can feel the agony, I can feel all that and yet smile through my tears and appreciate the scenic beauty it is.

How much ever I would love the show to be all 'happy-happy' I think every show has and must have its share of drama and seperation. Unfortuneately, it came a little early on this show.
I love how Kumud was shown as a strong lady, someone who had the strength to bear all of this and still hold her tears back.
But again, knowing that she is getting married to not tarnish her family's respect and image it just shows how women, all the time, have to sacrifice for the family.
And I genuinely felt sad for Saras today. He took a bad decision without giving it a second thought, and finally when someone knocked sense into him, it was too late. I wish he is given a chance to justify. Afterall, even Kumud decided to get married in haste.

Well yes their interactions from here on will have a whole new flavour. More intense and angsty! Can't wait...

Oh I know right!! I don't love just any love-hate relationship thrown at me but one which actually has reason, real agony and pain behind it rather than just petty nok-jhoks. We can feel the betrayal Kumud feels and if she does despise Saras we know we have seen the reason why. This is the twist I was awaiting with bated breath.

They've kind of reversed everything with this show. Usually the build up is to the confession between the lovers, here the main story starts after they have accepted each other completely. It's a whole new take I feel.

As impulsive decisions as their decisions have been, they have paved way for a far more engrossing and intense love story.

The thing I love about this track is that it's so hatke from what you expect from Indian television. There's no misunderstanding which leads to the conflict, and no waiting for when the truth will be revealed or anything like that. Kumud's hatred towards Saras has a reason, and so it will be very interesting to see how he gains her trust back, if he ever does. We honestly don't know what is going to happen, if there'll be a happy ending or not, and that makes it pretty exciting. However, I'm definitely not feeling the masochist sentiment - these types of stories make me cry so much it's ridiculous 😆
