So since the re-runs are on, I don't miss watching it everyday on TV...

Today was the second episode. And at home we were all watching it in english.

And realization re-struck me. Arnav's was such a dark character. The way he breaks the string of the blouse and the pearls scatter to the ground was symbolic in many ways. Its just that because of the channel they could not dwell further into his dark character.

Arnav indeed came a long way. From the one with fathomless eyes, rude and arrogant, insulting at the drop of a hat to a person totally in love, no longer rude, no longer arrogant to her and never insulting again...

Arnav came back to lucknow to conquer his past demons, so he thought. But little did he know that an angel will fall into his arms literally and force him to re-think on his approach towards life, all that un-intentionally by the little angel. Someone who thought that he has finally bought Sheesh Mahal and is now a king of his past. His glass castle was broken by KKG. The way he led his life till now was now in question, by this little chit of a girl.
Khushi was his destiny. Though he was angered in the starting because his world was being shattered again, all this paid off so well at the end.

What a beautiful journey of Arnav and Khushi.

The story was symbolic in many ways...👏

Applause to the CV's and writers...and also for our casts to have portrayed the character so well...

Very true indeed .. Today while watching the episode, that scene between Arhi especially struck me ! It always does whenever I watch it . ASR was a very dark character at the beginning .. But you could always see that pain in his eyes all the time . Did you notice his expressions when Khushi said , how he would feel if somebody said those things about her sister ? His eyes were full of confusion at Khushi's courage , yet he was pained at the same time and a lot more angry than before. I really love this scene of Arhi .
How he breaks dori in the second episode itself and after completing a full circle , later he himself binds it .. Amazing ❤️

Beautiful post ! =)

Completely agree and I guess it was that dark character of his that caught our interests and kept a hold of it till the very end. The transformation was immense and truly beautiful and it was a rarity for an Indian drama. There was a very gradual and real yet beautifully etched changed to him. I have never watched and I probably never will watch each and every episode from beginning till the end of another Indian soap after IPK. Really hats off to the CVs for bringing to us something so different and something so beautiful, I am so glad for the re-runs. Don't think I noticed how incomplete my tv routine was without it 😆.

@bold- this is the thin line that we are talking about. The pain always evident in his eyes. If it weren't for his eyes, Arnav's character could have easily slipped into a negative role but that did not happen because the of the way it was written and so well enacted by Barun. A really dark character but yet a vulnerable boy. This was very very well shown by Barun from the first episode. His eyes gave it away- his pain. Even where you have said that KKG asked him how he would have felt if this was his sister they were talking about and the expressions at that time told me that this is a very touchy nerve and subject she has chosen to dwell upon. That time we did not know of the future but yet his expressions gave away something that was not anger but a little walk into his past.

Amazing writing, acting, characterization...everything was just so good. And no wonder it stole hearts and is ready to do so the second time round.

Barun and Sanaya acted so well in the dori scene. Her fear, his anger. Her tears, his surrender.
Beautiful scene. I must admit the first time I saw it, I was fearing his actions but then deep down I always knew that he will not dishonor any lady. His eyes never had that dirty look.
