'Even SRK is on TV now!'-Karan

Karan Mehra may be trying his luck in films but is not planning to quit television

Karan Mehra's hardly seen on TV these days. The actor has shot only for Star Plus' Sssshhh…Phir Koi Hain which is an episodic. His serial Sati, which started with a big bang, failed to create much interest among the viewers. "I don't know what happened to Sati. I was thrown out of the serial. I was not even told that they didn't require my dates anymore. But since I was offered other roles, I didn't bother to call them back," he says.
Karan says that at the moment, he doesn't have any other serial on air. "But I am not worried because I am trying my luck in films. Also, if I sign a TV serial, I want to play the lead character," says Karan.
So, will he be quitting TV for Bollywood? "No way! One can make a lot of money in this industry today. Even Shah Rukh Khan is on TV now," he says. One serial that Karan enjoyed working on is Shanno Ki Shaadi on Star Plus. "It was fun to shoot with actors like Divya Dutta and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. We would actually finish 10-page long scenes in one go," says Karan. And though the actor does miss his hectic schedule, he says he is keeping himself busy by going to the gym. Also, Karan may soon sign a Bollywood project which he's not willing to talk about.
