Here's one strong, sensible woman in the show who tried her best to save her marriage, endured the trauma of losing the ability to become a mother, patiently endured her useless husband's torture, and now took a brave and well thought of step to freedom.
I admire her for her courage and self-respect. Unlike countless Indian women who silently bear abuse both physical and emotional at the hands of their husbands, this is one woman who has taken the leap to freedom. I loved the strength in her eyes today.
For me, she is a better example than Ratan, who has got the medal of greatness for accepting her step child, but internally is a lost woman, who has forgiven her unfaithful husband and hates the innocent child instead. Would have been better if she hadn't forgiven Sampooran, and not deprived a little girl of the warmth of a mother. The biggest need for a child is not clothes or toys but a mother's love.
