one thing that's always stood out to me

I know that since this is a show based on Muslims, it is obviously different than all the other shows but one thing really sticks out to me. while in other shows, the entire family or atleast the the lead is shown to be very religious as in praying everyday (thanking or blaming God for whatever happens) Now in this show, there are very few scenes of people praying but I still get the feeling that they are doing it with sincerity. I'm not saying that the characters don't seem religious, it's just that I like how they show Zoya as a modern girl and aren't making her like the leads of other shows (depending on God for things she has control over). Yes they thank God and also complain/ask for help but only when it's a major issue where they really need luck with them. I can personally relate to this because I don't pray on a regular basis, but when I do it's full of sincerity. I'm also not comparing any shows with qh but I think this one single point is proving to be a change towards modern times. I'm not Muslim so I may be misunderstanding a few things and feel free to correct me. Share your views on this and do tell me if u agree or disagree!

Regardless of wat religion you are, I feel it is normal that when we are sad or in trouble we tend to turn to god.
Coz we know he is the almighty and when no one else can or would help he will be there. N God will listen without complain.

This show is Muslim, but is not regressive

tv shows always exaggerate stuff and what they show in the name of religion is not always how it is actually practiced.rituals dont mean anything till they come from your heart in my opinion.btw, good post.😊

Many soaps I will not name them as that will be coparison shows women in a regressive way. Sari clad , kitchen queens is what women are in these shows

I am not saying that wearing sari or putting sindoor is wrong

but womenhood is much more then that

What I like about QH is that Zoya is modern, confident, good at heart, has an openion and stands up for herself

I totally agree. and unlike some other shows they do a pretty good job of keeping Zoya that way. I love how they're breaking free from the usual and bringing something mostly all of us can connect with.
