POLICEGIRI Remains Below Average On Day Two

Though in a way "Policegiri" surprised few with not so bad numbers and that was due to absence of competition and niche appeal of "Lootera". But even bad content of this "Policegiri" itself restricted its growth.

Film collected 3 cr nett on Friday. As per early trend, film should collect 2.60-2.75 cr nett on day two unless late shows trend contrary. Film has collected 5.60 cr nett in 2 days and still film will finish with 8.5-9 cr nett weekend number which are underwhelming.

Film was aided by good numbers in central India, north and single screens and if film would had got higher number of shows in multiplexes, this total would had been higher by 15%.

This movie was apparently made in 3 other languages before it was made in hindi and all 3 became hits, this one will probably break the streak.

The film has fared exactly like how I predicted...better at mass centers like Bihar, UP, CP/CI, but a complete disaster in metros (such as Delhi!)

Opening weekend was 8.25 crores according to BOI. Close to my prediction!

What bothers me most about this movie when I saw the promo was seeing Sanjay Dutt opposite Prachi Desai. She looks younger than his daughter!
