Here, Bani had brought up both Pia and Rano as her own children. Yet while Rano understands her and the situation, Pia is hardly bothered. Its not the mistake, its the lack of any remorse or guilt thats the main problem.

the one evil kid, you can always make out that he/she either received ALL they wanted from their parents/guardians and they get used to it, while the others work hard for it, so in return they are so used to getting everything that they turn evil. Or another case, where the evil child doesn't get anything, and has this instilled in their brain that if you want to get something, then you have to snatch it.

Because no matter what the upbringing is, it's human tendency to have favorites.

As for bani,pia, and rano. For me at least it always seemed like bani favored pia over rano all the time. and Rano being the youngest always thought that she has to work her way upto it, and be like her bani di, b/c while bani gave pia all that she wants, she gave rano the preachings of her amma. I guess what i am trying to say is, Bani had brought up both pia and rano in different ways, that's why they are different.

Coming to the topic... I havent encountered a sister like Pia, but surely a sister like Jigyasa in my own buas.

I myself having 2 elder sisters, i cant imagine how a sister can think so bad for her own sister. I am sure when u grow up together, there are differences, that is where the parents come into the picture. It is primarily the parents who have to make all their kids feel equally loved, i can speel disaster if the feeling of inequality comes into the upbringing. That is where i think the Dixits parents failed miserably. For ND he always held only Bani as a responsible daughter while the others were left to do as they please, Bani was the epitome of the perfect daughter, which might have made Pia a bit more rebellious to get the attention her way and Bani was only to oblige. This kind of became a habit for Pia, she began to believe all the attention should come her way, so when she saw what could have been heres is Bani's now and Bani is leading a life of Royalty and to top it her husband was madly in love with her, made Pia realise Bani's life was HERS, which she gave up and she thought it was her right to claim it and she knew that Bani had to step down as she always has! What Pia has turned up today is primarily her upbringing... And as much as i blame ND adn KD for it, i blame Bani aswell... her habit of turning blind to EVERY pia's mistake and ratify it only made Pia make more mistakes, cause untill someone corrects u, u know u r correct! Bani almost killed Ranveer over a CD?! Went against an already raging Jai Walia and got her married in HIS house, gave her shelter everytime she ran away from Pushkar, Didnt reprimand her when she aborted the baby, instead put her baby at stake worked overtime to arrange for funds to cure her infection! Now Pia wants Bani's husband, and keeping in mind Pia's track record, it isnt surprising at all and I dont think Pia is wrong in expecting Bani to yeild even to this demand of hers!

This issue is not about how bad a sister can get, it is about how bad a human can get. No human has a right to spoil another person's life for their own gains, be it their sister or not. Even is Pia and Bani very complete strangers what Pia is doing is equally wrong! It becomes harder for us to accept because they are sisters, but the magnitude of the sin will be the same.

Pia hasnt failed as a sister, she has failed every relationship of hers, she failed as a wife, daughter, mother, daugther in law... she has spoiled every relationship. It is damn difficult for me to imagine the extent of her selfishness or coldness so i would gladly conclude she is Mentally sick, she needs HELP, a nearest mental asylum is the need of the hour.

Wonderfully written Anu! I really enjoyed reading it..I don't want to add anything more..u r right, Pia is used to doing things to get attention her way, and all of Pia's selfish acts/mistakes have been forgiven/ignored/covered up by Bani..
Cud'nt agree more to the "Pia-needs-to-be-admitted-to-a-mental-asylum-asap" part 😃

pia was a very believable character in the beginning , and inspite of all her flaws and all the crazy things that she has done ... she did love rano her bani di a lot...

but now .... i am dissappointed the way pia's character has turned out 😕 ... she is on her way to become one of the typical balaji vamps like the komolikas and mandiras ...

***Sangs I agree to what u said! But its the parents who should understand how the kid will realise about sanskars! All the fingers cant be same, in the same way, u cannot teach kids about ethics in the same way! Need to know what will make the kid understand and imply those things in life! Rano has been a different character than Pia, but still even Rano eloped with Saahil inspite of the same sanskars Bani had given, as the way Pia did, but Bani was rude and got back Rano from the temple, but what was that she did with Pia? And Bani being a parent to her shouldnt have supported Pia all the time! Just b'coz u become parent to yr younger siblings doesnt mean that u can ignore their mistakes and give support all the time!

Well MT you very well know how i hate this character and would love to wring her neck.
😳unfortunatly raaga and sangita di have had to listen to me say this so much that i am sure that they got tired😆 ( though they are much too sweet to admit it😛)-poor things but i really do hate this Pia character!!
