dunno about the show but Akbar married salima around 1561...notably salima was his first cousin barbar's daughter's gulrang begam almost 4 years elder to Akbar...đłshe was bethrothed to bairam as the token of appreciation to reconquer Delhi and Agra by hamuyan and the age difference between bairam and salima was 38 years...đł though akbar gave his blessing in the marriage he wasnt happy with the relation as later on he mentioned tht the age difference between the spouse shouldnt exceed ten years...after bairam khan;s deadth akbar married salima to provide her protection he married her somewhere in late 1561
