Karan Patel (born 23 November 1983 in Calcutta, India)[citation needed] is an Indian actor. He is aGujarati.[1] He is known for starring in the STAR Plus series Kasturi (2007 - 2009), where he played the male lead Robbie Sabarwal.[2]
Personal life[edit]
Karan studied at the Utpal Sanghvi School, Juhu, near Mumbai and then at Mithibai College, Mumbai.[citation needed] He hails from a business family and is the only son.[citation needed] lHe has attended Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting School as well as London School of Arts.[citation needed] He also attended Shaimak Daavar's dance classes.[citation needed]
Career
Karan appeared as the anchor of the reality show Kaho Na Yaar Hai. He was a participant in Nach Baliye 3 alongside Amita Chandekar and was also the participant of Survivor India. His role in Kasturiwas his first as the lead Robbie Sabarwal. Previously, he played a number of roles in Balaji's other productions. His first role was in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii where he played Vigyat.[citation needed] He has also worked in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasamh Se. Currently in 2012, he was seen in an episode of the romantic TV series Teri Meri Love Stories on STAR Plus.
He made his debut[citation needed] in Bollywood in the Mahesh Manjrekar's directed film City of Gold in 2010. His second film was Sanjay Gupta's Shootout at Wadala (2013 film)
