For me the most memorable moment of the episode was not when Asad told Zoe that he loves her, It was when he took feeble steps towards her and said - "Please?". After Zoe rejects him and tells him that she will only remember his betrayal , not his confession of love. That 'please' had so much pleading and desperation. Just like the kind you see in the one who is asked his/her dying wish.After Asad pleads to her, Zoe immediately walks away and its good she did. One more 'please' and Zoe wouldn't have had the courage to fight him or her own heart.
Asad did all he could do to get Zoe back and fulfill what he would call his atonement. Disintegrated in his own conscience, a self-immolating torch for love and telling his only hope (Zoe) that he loves her with all that he has. Forgive me. Come back to me and with me. I love you and I always will till the end of my life. Even if you were to walk out on me right now, i will always hold a candle for you. This is Asad's final breaking point and now, he is all available to be devoured by the hound called Tanveer. Pregnancy card, honour card and Archies' card - she can play it all and Asad cannot fight it. He has no arsenal to fight back with her. Zoe has been the final nail in his coffin today. Today.
Zoe was the biggest liar today - beating both Razia and Tanveer. Lies she tells herself. Lies she told her Asad. On one hand, she tells Asad that even though he saved her from the Anarkali mode , its pretty useless. This life is meaningless and is just passing in the name of it. She is as good as dead already. Then, she tells him that the Zoe who passed every moment in the wait of Asad's love confession , the one who had woven an entire fairytale around him is no more. Its not true. If it was so easy to filter Asad and move on with life , you would be alive Zoe. You wouldn't be running from pillar to post , wondering what your life is all about. Love forgives , heals and embraces. More than that, love , when true , enlightens. The man begging at your feet is lost , damaged and destroyed - just as devastated as you are. If this hurts you so much, imagine the same hurt is eating him. Your healing lies with his healing. Weren't both of you always supposed to be a part of the same whole? Asad never had any trust or insight and what you don't have is the strength of forgiveness to the honest guilty- please show the same resolve while dealing with Ghaffur. Perhaps you and Asad really belong together.
For the rest, I loved the Dargah scene where divinity tells Zoe that the one she is looking for is right here - and Asad passes by her. At the fort, they both were just randomly kosso-fying their kismat but Asad sensed her and found her.
I loved the tadap-tadap sequence as well. I don't know what others were expecting but the sequence was meant to highlight Asad's complete collapse and Zoe becoming unreachable for him - no OTT Lailaa-Majnu jazz. Loss, Devastation. Disintegration. And the sequence served that purpose.
This track is serving what it was meant to serve and what begins here will have its repercussions. It was special because the plan was to shoot at Ajmer Shareef , but we know that it could not happen.Still, the script is fitting itself in the set that has been created.The makers are still trying to achieve what they had intended, even if the portions are being shot in Mumbai.
For the precap? Its the hand of destiny paving its way. Asad ne aaj please kahaa hai, and even though after 24 hours, destiny supports Asad's 'please' . Aur jis Asad ko Zoe chhod aayi hai, jhakk maarke usske paas waapis jaayegi. Tanveer bataaye ya na bataaye, kudrat ne zaroor Zoe ko bataa diyaa ki Asad abhi bhi dettol ki bottle hai.
