I don't have much time to write fanfiction but here are my ideas what I want to happen for Nihal.
He stays back, Chaiji keeps the secret to herself and does not tell Ratan or anyone else.
BECAUSE, something happened like Ratan's house caught on fire or Nihal's Chachu walked in. YES, Nihal has someone. A chachu that he never told anyone about. Not his biological Chachu but how Chaiji is related to Ratan and family. Foster Uncle (played by Deep Dillon)

Turns out, that Chachu of Nihal's is Chaiji's long lost husband. He had spent his life trying to find her but couldn't find her and had never married again like she thought he would.
Nihal and his Chachu are very close and Chachu tells Chaiji that Nihal was jolly and happy before. No one other than Chachu knows Nihal better. Chaiji is all emotional and doesn't know how to react. (Because of Nihal, Chaiji was reuinted with her husband eventually).
