These days children too need to time to socialize with other children. Putting them in a good childcare is one of the healthy things for a child. Ofcourse it's a personal choice of a parent. A parent can decide to either stay full time home, or seek support of in laws or put their child in a daycare or montessary setting. ^^I think the point I really liked about your argument was the understanding bit. Even now, women are expected to take care of the child and the father expected to work, situatuion is changing but, that's still what the majority believes.

If there's understanding them its possible for a mom to work.

But on a personal front, I'd not work for a year atleast after having my baby. But after that if I have someone to take care of my baby, i might join a half day work or something!

as long as the mom is allowed to make decisions and no decision is forced on her...anything is fine...
