Hollywood/Bollywood DISCRIMINATION = 40's so true!

😕 I think Hollywood and Bollywood are on the same level now for 40's + actresses. What happened to great actresses like Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zellweger, etc.?!! Everyone says Hollywood doesn't discriminate, yeah right. The ladies I mentioned haven't had hits in at least 10 years and are supporting actresses now. Bollywood has also been the same way for Sridevi, English Vinglish got unnoticed at awards shows. God knows what they will do to Madhuri in her comeback. Juhi Chawla is also the same way. Please share your thoughts. Now, are HOLLYWOOD and BOLLYWOOD in the same pattern for 40's + actresses?! 😡

Just cause English Vinglish didn't win a lot of awards doesn't mean it was a flop lol it was a huge hit!! You should knw by now majority of Indian Award Shows are rigged, otherwise why would a terrible movie like Jab Tak be nominated? (n in my opinion I found Vidya's performance more deserving)

Nicole's new movie is based on Grace Kelly and shes the lead so no shes not only getting supporting role. Also I believe she had a nice roles in Australia and The Golden Compass.

Catherine wasn't she in treatment for her bipolar illness?idk

but minus the ones you mention there are actresses like Helen Mirren,Meryl Streep (both in their 60s) who get leading ladies roles. Sandra Bullock (43) still getting great roles, Julia Roberts( slightly picky but still has leading roles,47) Cameron Diaz, Jen Aniston,sofia Vergara, Reese, Angelina and Charlize are close to 40 but I bet you the offers won't stop.

But yes there is discrimination for women in both industries unfortunately. Especially towards older women but its more in indian cinema than hollywood I can assure you, you still can get decent roles in hollywood but its harder in here, especially a good role. Thats why we don't see many veterans actress outside of award shows

Hindi cinema is moving forward so hopefully it can lessen 😊
