Wow, what a confrontation scene. First and foremost, Gautam Rode take a bow for that spine-tingling acting . I have to say that I didn't like Gautam when I first started watching SC (let me finish, put the chappals away) but I started warming up to him as the show progressed. After this episode though I don't think anyone can criticize his acting. Hats off! 👏
Moving on - I feel that Laxminandan overreacted a little. Yes, he was pissed off, and I would be too, but what was the need of dragging Saras's mom into the conflict? And the whole part about "mere naam ke bina Vidyachatur kabhi bhi Kumud jaisi beti tumhe na deta." He's been working hard his whole life - how is it fair to call him a failure for one mistake, no matter how big it is?
And for Saras, the insult to his maa was a double-hit, considering the information he had just learned regarding her suicide. At least now he finally knows that Guman is the one behind all this, the doosri aurat who ruined his mother's marriage, and the one who pre-poned the merger date without informing him. He finally knows that the person who he's been calling "mom" his whole life is unworthy of that title.
And did anyone notice - Nandu was pissed off during the whole confrontation, but the slap (which was totally fake btdubs - come on director-ji, where was Nandu's hand flying to during that scene? 😆) didn't happen until Saras started pointing fingers at Guman - referencing how Guman has always taken importance in Nandu's life. So much izzat for someone who doesn't deserve it! At this point, I'm eagerly waiting for the day where Laxminandan will realize his so-called biwi's true colors.
Last point before I sign off - where does this leave Saras&Kumud? I know there will be a lot of problems in their way, plus the new parallel lead supposedly coming into the picture (there's a TB article on it - go and comment, and mention the show and the actors' names!), but there's one thing that prevents me from having a mental breakdown, and that is this - Dugba, Danny, Sunny, Kumari, and Kusum all ship Samud harder than we do - do you think they would let their relationship fall apart so easily? And Danny - he's always stood up for his baray bhaiyya - won't he have anything to say about this?
