Emraan to play Aamir's role in Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi remake

Mahesh Bhatt is remaking Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi with Emraan Hashmi reprising Aamir Khan's character.

While the director hasn't been finalised yet, it is learnt that the basic storyline will be the same as the original.

Says Mahesh Bhatt, "The film I directed was modelled on It Happened One Night by Frank Capra, but didn't do justice to the hero's character. With this remake, we seek to do justice to the character played originally by Clark Gable, that of an unapologetic rake. Emi fits this character like a glove. With this film, women who have secretly lusted for him so far, will now fall in love with him."

she also said she wanted it to be Alia Ranbir..

guess they are doing Imtiaz's next and Vishesh Films doesnt wanna repeat the pair..

Bhatt camp really know what clicks with the audience. First it was all horror sequels,then semi po*n sequels and now remakes of 90s pure love sagas.

Naa they wouldn't do it together, being cousins and being romantically paired won't happen and should not happen in BW.

Exactly what I was thinking...and then this will have good romantic music ...+ Emraan = blockbuster basically.

Lol...the movie wasn't just modeled on 'It happened...' but was copied word to word - scene to scene...and Aamir's Raghu was just as interesting and tapori as Clark Gable's Peter Warne...

Wonder why they want to remake it again...These remakes are a pain..really!😳

dhkmn is one of my fav films. just love amir in it. i had bunked school n went to see the movie in heavy rains. dont want it to be remade n ruined 😭
