Since the show has started, have made many posts praising DD. But even though equally adore Salman, realized that have not made any. Because have been wondering about him. Keeping the fact aside that the man simply does not need any praising, I think what Salman is ... smart.
Have been reading a lot of posts - How he is not in full form this season, how a certain other choreographer is more talented than him ... etc. I'm sure you all have read the same posts as I and are aware of the talks.
What is talent? Is not it a natural aptitude? If some people possess talent, how can it be vanished in thin air? A man who was/is one of the most brilliant choreographers of this generation is being put down just because he is paired up with the most loved and hated celebrity of this season, Drashti?
Nope. I think, what Salman is ... smart. I have been observing him and think he is smart enough to let Drashti do floor dancing for now. I'm not here to defend, but one got to read the book, not just judge by the cover.
Tell me one dance form he can't do? One choreography he can't excel? Then why is he not giving the same level of choreography to Drashti as he did to Isha? Some say he is being repetitive ... toh some say he is not good enough this season. First people need to decide the real reason behind their criticism. Aise Toh what certain choreographers are doing this season to entertain you, he has done it all last year and then some.
Anyways, back to the topic. Why did I call him smart? Because I feel he is being very careful with DD. The competition is not even at its peak, in my opinion. Abhi Toh, there are more contestants to come, to deal with. Salman does not seem to be wanting to take any chances. At least not at this stage of the game, especially when his middle name is accident-prone. We all know Salman is very accident-prone. Awards, reality shows. That is not an excuse, but have you guys ever stopped to think that if he starts pushing DD harder now ... and some incident takes place ... Not will there be chances of elimination ... But even DD's other show will suffer? Who knows ... Like a lot of people here are busy complaining that the channel is favoring DD ... Chalo, if we take that into consideration ... then it could be possible that the channel does not want DD to be pushed harder on purpose? I'm just throwing a scenario out there!
Even if that's not the case. Say I'm over thinking. I'm still sure Salman is following some kind of strategy. It can't be that he is not. He ended up taking how many 30s last season? And where did all that hard work take him? No where. Except viewer's appreciation, which without a doubt he deserved. If this season Salman isn't giving much attention to executing big stuff, but keeping it simple ... Wanting to reach the finals, I do not think we should blame him for that.
I, personally, am enjoying all his choreographing. But yes, sometimes even I end up feeling that yes, somewhere .5 is missing. I don't know ... Since it is Salman's last season, according to the rumors ... and I'm sure he is looking to win ... Keeping all DD's flaws in mind(Legs only so it seems 😆), I have a feeling Salman's is playing a smart game.
He does not need to prove himself as a choreographer ... He already did that last season. The whole industry is aware of that by now.
