"Rano ji….. rano ji…." A man shouted while entering in the house closing his umbrella…… "uff….. iss barish ko bhi aaj hi aana tha…" he murmured to himself putting off his shoes at the entrance of the house otherwise no one can save him from his wife's wrath when she'll find that her husband's shoes leave all the marks on neatly cleaned shinned floor, , the floor where anyone can see his/her face………
"kya hai ji? Why are you shouting?" asked rano aka rano ji in language of her husband……. She came in hall wiping her hand with her dupatta while coming from the kitchen…… "where were you rano ji?" asked that man…… "ki hoya? Kuch to batayiye….. I was washing utensils….. "
"achha ji…. First give me towel….. apne aap ko bahut bachaya fir bhi barish me bheeg hi gaya…….." he told to rano……. "oho mohinder ji, , aap kyun murmur kar rahe ho….. first you tell me when u knew that rain is about to come then why you came here? You should be there na at your club with your friends… " she told him…….
Mohinder Handa……. A retired colonel , , very strict in discipline and love his children to the core, and pamper them a lot but still put some restrictions on them but that too for their safety…… he loved his wife a lot, , addressed her as Rano ji….. never call her without ji….. that is his love for his wife where rano loves to hear rano ji from his mouth……..
Mohinder wiped his hands and feet then entered inside the house….. "achha ji ab batayiye itni jaldi kyat hi barish me ghar aane ki?" asked rano from mohinder…….. hearing the question from her, suddenly he beamed with happiness, the reason of behind his early landing in his own house……
"rano ji, , rano ji…… you won't believe who is coming tomorrow……" a sudden happiness appeared on his face……..though he is very restrict person but still he became happy in small-2 things……. "kaun aa raha hai ji?" she asked unaware of his happiness…… "khurana family is coming to see our geet…… isn't that great?" asked mohinder……. He sat there on the couch………..
"yeh to bahut achhi baat hai…..wahi hai na jiske bare me sharama ji ne bataya tha... suna hai unka bada beta bahut ache se business sambhalta hai…." She told to him……. "haan ji…… but he is very well known crime branch officer…." He told with too much proud……
"and one more things…… Arjun also knew him….. actually they were friends in school… "…….he paused for a second….. he took rano's hand in his hand….. and spoke softly…….. "mai dil se chahta hu ki hamari geet ki shaadi ussi se ho…….." mohinder stated finally…… it's his wish…….. "meri bhi yahi tamanna hai….. " rano answered him back softly like him………
"ahem….ahem…." two girls coughed interrupting their private talks…… "mummy papa, romance kar rahe hai…" one girl murmured in second girl's ear…… "chup kar…" second girl smacked first one's…….
"both of you stop your whispering session…." Told mohinder sternly….. both girls stood there dipped their head…….. mohinder signaled to rano, time to tell them that a man is coming for her, soon she'll fly away from their house……
"geet puttar…… yaha aa, mere paas baith to zara…" mohinder spoke softly this time…. If he is stern that only for their well being otherwise there is no intentions being strict with them…… geet nodded and sat beside him on the couch……
"puttar, , you know who is coming tomorrow?" asked mohinder while the other girl looked at rano asking from her while rano shook her head and signaled her to sit with her……. While geet looked at her papa asking to him who is coming from her eyes……
"beta ji, tomorrow is a guy coming to seeing you….. tere rishtey ke liye….. your alliance beta,…" he spoke with immense happiness…… the other girl squealed in happiness……..
"sachi me, di ka rishta aaya hai….. "…….. "mai abhi bhabhi ko bata kar aati hu…" saying so she ran upside on the terrace giving good news to her Sonia bhabhi……
"geet, isi khushi me chai aur pakode ho jaaye…" he told her while geet nodded and headed towards the kitchen for making tea and pakode……

"ridhima….." she screamed her little sister name when she found her using her make up kit….. her temperature went high seeing the scene…… ridzy looked at her big sister from the mirror and gave a innocent smile like maine kya kiya types? Where she was fuming in anger……. "there, mama is calling you and here you are becoming beauty queen….. abhi batati hu…ruk… " saying so she started to move downside but stopped by ridzy……
"di…. What are you doing?" asked ridzy….. "pls di…. Don't I have the right to look beautiful when my would be jiju is coming…." She battled her lashes trying to put the correct excuse…… "oye, abhi huye nahi hai…… he is coming to see me" she replied her back….. ridzy held her hand and made her sit on the bed…….
"what happen di? Why are you looking tense?" asked ridzy in concern…… "darr lag raha hai ki wo aapko pasand karenge ya nahi?" ridzy asked again trying to figure out what she is feeling right now….. because she knew that her sister call her ridhima when she is really upset, tensed or something else…. Otherwise she always call her ridzy……
"I don't know ridhima…. I just felt kahi mujhe napasand kar diya toh….. I mean mummy papa ko bahut hopes hai……" replied geet……
Geet , a 22 years old girl… just now finished her studies, , and wanted to do a job in software field….. very ambitious yet little hopeless…… she wanted to join Navy but left it because of her mother doesn't want it... so she made her career in software field...frightened on a small-2 things which is related to her dear ones...…… like she done something for someone and the fear will that person like it? And now, her biggest fear is that will he like her? Or reject her?
"di, I know something is more there which is bugging your head…. Now spit out" spoke ridzy…… "actually ridzy, , I heard, I mean papa was telling to mama that he is police officer…." Replied geet back…..
"so…. What's the problem in being a police officer? It will be good na….. he'll take care of you 24 hours…." Ridzy winked at her after finishing……. "nothing is like that….. actually, they don't have the proper time for their family and they always play with danger….. "……….. geet put her fear in front of her…….
"di, that doesn't matter….. if he'll love you enough then you will adjust yourself according to his time period……iss baat se mood off karne ki jarurat nahi hai….." ridzy tried to be calm and a mature person…. Though geet is elder than her but sometimes she speaks like a child and ridzy played a role of elder sister…… geet nodded hearing her mature talks…….
"geet…" one person called her…..
Geet looked at the source of voice and found her bhabhi standing there……. "geet, nothing is like that as you are thinking….. " geet looked at her getting what she is talking about…… "bhabhi, what do you mean?" asked geet…….. Sonia smiled at her nave sister-in-law……. "geet, you think that police officer doesn't give much time to their family, , " geet nodded…… "jaise ki Arjun veer ji…. " geet made a face…… Sonia smiled again……
"nothing is like that geetu…… Arjun got his posting in Darjeeling because he is in army….. but the man who is coming to see you, he lives in delhi and work there only…. And he is in crime branch….….. and crime branch officer doesn't get posting and they don't have this particular duties like 9 to 5 and all…. Don't worry…… you'll be happy with him…." (I don't know anything about the crime branch….so pls take it as a fiction only…. )
Sonia told her one more thing…… "and you know what, I also knew him…. After school, once I met him, he is very nice person too, doesn't like Arjun and papa ji…." Geet nodded feeling little light…..
"thank you bhabhi…" geet spoke and hugged her tightly……. "dekha, I was trying to tell her but she is like…uff…." Whined ridzy jumped on her make up kit……..
"geet, , don't let enter that fear inside your heart….. you should be proud on papa ji, arjun…. And the one who is coming to see you tomorrow…. " geet looked at Sonia…… she knew she is little wrong here….. from the childhood she used to hear that one day she'll get marry with a person who'll be in police or in army or something else……. She always has a fear for their safety, , she knew she shouldn't be but this damn heart…….
"geet….. and rest about the danger then anything can happen anywhere….. zaruri toh nahi ki danger sirf border par ya fir war mein ho…. Danger toh yaha bhi ho sakta hai iss room mein….. so don't get scared about that..hmm…..samjhi…." Sonia again tried to assure her with her simple words……… geet smiled hearing her, , somewhere little fear flew away………. She let out a deep sigh and smiled…….
"di…. Don't worry….. meet him one time…. What's the big deal….. pasand aayegenge then ok otherwise say no on his face…." Told ridzy to geet where geet just smiled…… how can she say no to her parent's choice……
