Sanaya off to Pune- TC

It's a 'no shoot' day on the sets of Chhanchhan… Read to know why…
Television today works on a non-stop basis, so much so that the actors and crew involved do not get even a day's breather for months together. However, the sets of Sony Entertainment Television's Chhanchhan (Optimystix Productions) seems to have a deserted look today as it is a 'no shoot day' (28 June 2013).

Wondering how the entire team managed to get an off? Well, read this interesting piece of news.

We hear that most of the actors of Chhanchhan had applied for leave sometime this month. But nobody in the crew did realize that most of them will be absent on the same day, that is today (28 June). With both the leads Sanaya Irani and Anuj Sachdeva being absent, and Deepti Dhyani (Ranjana), Romanch Mehta (Maneklal) too opting for leave at the same time, the production house was left with no option but to declare a holiday for the entire crew starting from today for two days.

While Sanaya has gone to Pune for three days, Anuj is on a trip to Dubai on personal work.

When contacted, Romanch said, "Yes, I am going to Lavasa with my fiance Sangeeta (Kapure), and should be back after three days."

Deepti on the other hand said, "I am off to Pune with my husband (Sooraj Thapar)." When asked about most in the cast opting to take leave around the same time, she stated with a smile, "We had planned our leave much in advance, but we never had the inclination that we will be taking off on the same day."

Supriya Pathak (Umaben) on the other hand remained clueless about it as she stated, "I have given my dates to the production house, and today was amongst one of those days. But I was told that they are not shooting today. I am not aware about others though."

We also tried contacting Sanaya and Anuj but they remained unavailable for comment.

The shoot on the sets of Chhanchhan is likely to resume on 1 July 2013.

All we can say is that this is quite a co-incidence! Happy time holidaying… folks!!!
