VIDEO MIX TUTORIAL THREAD

Hello people! 😃
This thread will basically teach you how to make a VM using Sony Vegas/ Movie maker. (duh😆)
I know we already have threads in the creative forum about it but they are not easy enough to understand for some members. I got several PMs about it.. and when I referred them to that thread, they were having troubles so I had to help them out individually which is really tough 😛
Besides, the tutorials are on previous versions of Video editors which don't work now. 😕
So, hopefully, Saba, our VM queen, Me and Lovely Vidya didum can help you with it 😉
p.s : I'm hoping this would increase participation and (hopefully) divert you away from the cold war that's been going on! 😛

Sony Vegas Introduction
Hello!😃
As you all know.. I'm.. the one and only Tahi (sort of🤪)
And I'll be helping you with Sony Vegas video editor. (p.s : I love this software😳)
Note : I use Sony Vegas Pro 11. So if you have any version less than 11, my tutorials might seem different.😕
Ohkay, so I'll start with the basic. This post will tell you about the tools. Sony Vegas looks really scary when you open it. I got dizzy when I did. So don't get scared, it doesn't bite.. and main hu na, I'll guide you through.😉
Besides, if I can learn it just by fidgeting with it, you can too.😆
The Sony Vegas Pro 11 user interface has many windows with which to access the tools and functions of the software, so let's go through each of the important windows to familiarize ourselves with them.😉
Below, I have a screenshot of my sony vegas and if you have noticed, I've put box in several places and numbers on them.
Match the numbers with the description I'm posting below, and you'll do great.😃

#1 . The Track Header
All of the settings for the tracks can be found here. We'll get into that later. As you can see, I have 3 tracks going on. The first on is for my text.. the following are for video and audio.

#2 . The Timeline
This is your main work area. You have to put all your clips that you wanna use for your project in the video track. Similar with audio clips and Text clips.

#3 . The transport toolbar
The Transport toolbar allows you to control the playback of your project just like a tape deck or CD player. Easy peasy lemon squeazy eh?😉

#4 . The preview box
P.S : Do not get distracted by the handsome ACP you see in my preview box. And focus!😆
The preview box displays the video from your timeline. When you click on a video that IS on your timeline, the preview box will show it. See how my cursor is on a video clip and it's showing Arjun? Yeah, easy.

#5 . Project media window
The Project Media window shows you all of the media being currently used in your project- video, images, audio, and text.

# 6. Time displayThis basically shows the time of the current video frame the cursor is on. Like my cursor is on 38;05 seconds, so it's showing that. Voila.😃

Okay.. so formal instructions done.. now get ready for your first ever project with Sony vegas.😉
