The Vigil Idiot: Raanjhanaa

JUNE 24, 2013 7:52 AM BY SAHIL RIZWAN

Raanjhanaa, directed by Anand Rai, marks the Bollywood debut of YouTube viral video star & Rajnikanth's son-in-law, Dhanush (as lovestruck Kundan), whose other less significant achievements include winning a National Award. Clearly, this is a man of many talents. Picking scripts, however, is one talent that might be in question after this movie (which co-stars Sonam Kapoor as love interest Zoya). You know you're in trouble when even a National Award-winning actor can't rescue your film from looking mighty silly.

Sahil Rizwan is a 25-year-old freelance writer and creator of The Vigil Idiot. When he's not busy doing everything in his power to avoid taking up a 9-to-5 desk job, you can probably find him curled up in front of a TV or his laptop. You can follow him on Twitter and Facebook.

I really shouldn't have read this before watching the movie. Now the movie seems rather stupid, especially the ending.

I'm hoping I'll still like it when I watch it. 😆

When it comes to romantic movies its better not to go by VI's reviews. He is always way off. For romance you need to CONNECT to the lead pair and FEEL for them. Logic doesnt always work.

Accurate 😆

I saw the movie and it's as lame as it sounds. The saving grace being ARR' s music and reasonable acting by Danush and Sonam.
