I stood in front of Rishabh who had his phone to his ears. No response I guess. Else he would have talked by now. The frown that formed on his face confirmed that I was right.

"Sorry man he isn't picking the phone. Maybe we could try again later" he said as he cut the call.

"That'll be fine bro" I said.

"Rish I'm going to help your mother in the kitchen. You guys need something?" She pointed the question at me.

"I'm fine" I replied.

"I'm too. We'll have dinner together"

"Sure" Anya said hugging Rishabh by the side before exiting the room.

She turned to leave but stopped and looked at me

"And who was the previous girl?"

"Oh that was a fan girl who took a picture with me about four years ago"

"Okay" she smiled at me before leaving the room.

"So your interview went well?"

"Yup, didn't I say that before?"

"Maybe. When is it being aired?"

"Today at 6 pm"

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier? Its 6:10 already."

We rushed to his room settled down quickly and switched on the TV. I hope we didn't miss the rapid fire segment. I really wanted to see KHUSHI again.

There I was, on the screen, sitting across from Mr. Sharma answering his question why I chose cricket.

" Why I chose cricket? Nice question. But I don't know the answer to this question. Maybe I can say I wanted to become famous and the two best options for that was either acting or playing cricket and I chose the latter." I heard myself say.

I know that answer doesn't make any sort of sense. But I couldn't reveal the real reason. Maybe I can tell you guys. I chose cricket because my dad hated that game. He wanted me to be a doctor and here I'm today.

Khushi was now on screen with the rapid fire round. And my thoughts drifted to that fan when I heard that question again. I think Niveda has a cut-out of the picture which came in paper the next day with that girl standing next to me. If I was lucky enough then she would have it with her still. Wait I needed to pick them from the airport and that is why she had called me.

" I need to leave now" I told Rishabh who was busy changing channels as the interview had now finished.

" Come on Arnav, dinner is almost ready, leave after that."

"No Rishabh, I've got something important to do. In fact I forgot to mention to you that Niveda and Liam are coming tonight and I'm going to pick them up from the airport"

"What Nivi is coming today? Wait I'm coming too"

"No need. Anya is here and you need some time with her too. So you better stay. I'm off. Cya later"

"Bye then. Tell her I'm coming to meet her tomorrow"

"Will do. Good night" I told him as I left his room.

On the way I met his mom and Anya and said bye to them too.

RISHABH

I saw Arnav leave. I thought of calling Karan again, I heard the ring and hoped that he picked up the call. My prayers where finally answered when I heard him speak.

"Hello"

"Hello, is that Karan?"

"Yes, and you are?"

"I'm Rishabh"

"As in Rishabh Singhania?"

"Right"

"Bro, how are you? I cant believe this, I thought you forgot me"

"Don't worry Karan, I still remember you and that's why I called you"

"Really? I cant believe that, tell me why you called"

"You got me. I need a favour"

"I knew it, else why would you be calling me" Karan said and I knew he was only joking around.

"Remember the day you wanted to meet Arnav, for some friend of yours?"

"Yeah, I do"

"Do you still have contact with that girl? I mean tell me about her, her name, what does she do and all"

"Why? What have you got to do with her?"

"Just tell me"

"Don't tell me you are in love with some girl who you met over four years ago. Then this will be a triangle love story for she still loves your friend ASR"

"Don't you worry about that, its not the case"

"Khushi , her name is Khushi and she works with me in the channel.." I was so excited that I cut him mid-off.

"Was she the one who took his interview today?"

"Yeah, the same, at least now tell me the reason"

"Nothing bro, don't worry, you'll know soon"

"What?"

"Thanks, that's all I can say for now. And so bye"

I was so excited that I didn't know what to do next. Whether to call Arnav or to tell Anya first. I didn't understand why I was so excited. Maybe because Arnav was excited later. Maybe he has found the perfect girl for him.

I decided to tell Anya first since Arnav would be driving now. I went looking for her and found her talking to someone over the phone and so I decided to wait.

KHUSHI

I didn't know what to do today. I was so excited , sitting in front of the TV watching some random songs after ASR's interview ended. My duty finished at 5 and I was back home about an hour ago. I couldn't stop thinking about the sparks and the way he talked to me. I somehow wanted Alisha out of his life. I was shocked when he told about my encounter with him 4 years ago as his best experience with a fan. But he clearly doesn't remember me being that girl

I was bored and decided to text Anya Di ( term used to address your elder sister).

Anya was my favourite cousin, just 6 months older than me and I used to tease her calling her Di since she hated that. We grew up together and never hid anything from each other. She too knew about the big crush I had for ASR and strongly believed that I'll end up with him. Last time we met was somewhat like an year ago and last time we talked she told me that she had something important to tell me and that she was in a relationship. She wouldn't reveal his name even and that she wanted me to meet him first from her family. My parents had took care of her from the age of five when her parents died in a car crash.

I took my phone and texted her.

The reply arrived instantly

Before I could reply to her text she called me.

"Hello Khush, how are you?"

"I'm fine Di"

"Don't call me that"

"Really? What will I get for not calling my big sister Di"

"Oh come on Khush I'm not that old, just 6 months doesn't make me any older than you"

"Fine then I wont call you Di"

"that's my girl. Now tell me why did you want to talk to me"

" I didn't say that, FYI you assumed that and called me"

"Really? If I remember right you never call me or message me if you don't have anything important to discuss. All other times I'm the one to call"

She caught me there. She was right about that. She was the one to call always even if I would forget.

"Sorry"

"Okay now tell me"

"Saw my show today?"

There was a long pause and I knew the answer

"Sorry , I forgot"

"I knew it, you might have been busy with your boyfriend right?"

"Yeah, actually I'm at his place now and I'm really sorry"

I was now irritated.

"How could you? This is only once a week and you cant spare half an hour for me?"

"I'm sorry, his friend was here and that's why I couldn't watch that, actually I was planning to watch it with him and show-off that you are my cousin"

"Okay, its fine"

"Hey is that the reason you wanted to talk to me? To talk about your show?"

"Actually yes" I was excited again just thinking of Arnav

"What?"

"do you have any idea of who was on the show today?"

"NO"

"guess who?"

"NO way, Arnav?"

"Yes. You wont believe what happened today". And then I told her everything that happened today and I felt she was more excited than me.

As I put my phone down after talking to Anya I saw that I had about nine missed calls , six from Ria and three from Karan. I decided to call Ria first.

"Ria, what happened in the last hour that you and your boyfriend had to give me so many calls?"

"hello, so its you? I thought something happened to you" she told me in a mocking tone.

"If something had happened to me then my phone wouldn't be engaged"

"For all I know you could've done something to that"

"Really? And why would I do that?"

"Ho do I know"

"Did you call me just for time pass?"

"Oh come on Khush why would I need you for time pass when I've got Karan next to me"

"Shut up and tell me why you called"

" I think we can now talk face to face"

"What?"

"Yeah, open the door we are here"

And then I heard the door bell.

I opened the door and the two of them came in

"So you were serious about me doing something to myself?"

"Yeah we were, your mom isn't around and we thought we needed to check"

"So now tell me why did you actually call?" I asked them as we settled down

"I got a phone call today" Karan spoke

I really don't get this, why is he telling me about a phone call he got. I mean where am I involved in that?

"So? What does it have to do with me?"

"Khush, here him out completely"

"Okay Karan continue"

"So, I was saying, I got a phone call today and believe me, you were the reason for the call"

"Karan , I don get you! Please tell me everything as it is, I don't like these suspenses."

"Fine, today Rishabh Singhania called me"

"What?"

I was shocked and I suddenly questioned him. But my index finger went to my mouth automatically indicating I would not speak now when I saw the expression Ria gave me.

"Rishabh asked me whether I was still in contact with the fan girl who got ASR's autograph, who you were, your name and what do you do and all. And I told him and he seemed excited and then cut the call as if he got all the answers he needed"

"So you guys came here to tell me this? Is this some sort of joke?"

"Khushi Gupta do you think we are here with a prank?"

And I knew that they weren't fooling around, and I was lost in Arnav's world thinking whether he asked about me!
