The actor was spotted bashing up a few villains at a city mall-all for a film shoot.
Shoppers at a suburban mall were taken by surprise on Thursday afternoon when they heard gunshots echoing in the building. But before panic could grip the crowd, a loudspeaker blasted out a sharp 'cut'. We surreptitiously followed the sounds and reached the action zone - the basement. Amid the haphazardly parked cars, we discerned a man holding Saif Ali Khan at gunpoint.
Looking around we spotted cameras and other crewmembers and also director Tigmanshu Dhulia. This was no terror attack, but Dhulia shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film, Bullett Raja, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha. Producer Rahul Mittra had managed to book the sprawling basement for the entire day.
Action director Parvez Khan, who has previously worked with Saif in Agent Vinod looked calm and had all the faith in the actor, who wowed all with his agility.
Dressed in crisp formals, the actor got all the moves right. Talking about the attire, Dhulia explained: "Saif's character has just come out of an interview when he is attacked by the goons."
The basement was damp and humid and the sequence looked arduous but the actor had no qualms about getting downright dirty when it came to delivering a perfect punch on the villain's face. Although sweating profusely, the only thing ruffled about Saif seemed to be his hair, which he kept brushing into place after each 'cut'.
Tigmanshu was all praise for his hero and said: "I am working with Saif for the first time. I had no clue that he is such an adrenaline junkie. Whenever there is an action scene, he just jumps into it with full energy."
Bullett Raja is a crime thriller and is set against the backdrop of UP mafia. The film has been shot extensively in Lucknow, Kolkata, Chambal and Nashik and this is the final leg of the shoot. Saif, who plays the protagonist, sports two distinct looks in the film-one is the formal one and the other a more rugged one, where he will be seen wearing kurtas.
