Should they ban religion from public life?

Should politicians stop aligning themselves with religion?

Since religion is a person matter of choice for one's spiritual growth, why make such a hue and cry about it?

Why not make it a personal thing truly and remove it from public life?

While the idea is noble, I'm a little confused on how one would remove it. Because if we prevent politicians from following a religion or declaring their personal choices by means of clothing, etc, then we are oppressing their freedom of religion isn't it?

I wonder if religion is personal choice😕.Practically speaking its tough to implement !!!

Today is Vaikunta Ekadashi. My Papa and Amma took me to temple as today we have gates to heaven open for some time.

I don't beleive all these and unfortunately I spent 2 hours in que.Wonder where maha papi like me goes .... definetly not to heaven.

I'm not understanding anything in life these days.....Need a break to reboot my system.

I do not let religious practices/ rituals affect my life. I do not desire to go to Heaven. I was never fond of being all alone! 😉 😆

Religion is way of life for me! It is as simple as living and letting live.

Banning itself is a very harsh word!!.....if the religion is banned then the very principal of freedom would also be destroyed!! . If you love freedom, you should allow for differences be it a religious or cultural!!!...though I personally believe that world would definitely a better place to live if there is no religion!!

I do think religion is a personal choice!!...its true sometime we have to visit temple coz of our parents but then also if u wish u can change ur religion atleast after certain age!!……..I do not think I am religious, because I do not practice my religion…my relationship with God is an extremely personal thing between me and Him and how we communicate with each other has nothing to do with following a particular religion. I do visit temples only if (say once in a year) someone wants a company.

Wonderful to hear the views. But problem is all politicians use religion for their own political reasons. We pray inside our homes, in our hearts. Politicians should stop using religion for their political gains. Anybody doing so, should be caught and thrown in prison...be it Syed Shahbuddin, or Narendra Modi.

Removing religion is like removing GOD. Are we ready to do that??? I am not. I am a God fearing person and want my kid to be that too. What we need to remove is ill feeling for religion and bring tolerance. Waht is need to stop making one religion superior to other.

Now removing it from public life...then politicians have nothing left to target people's emotion and get vote banks for themself. Religion is their brahmastra. They will die with out it so it will never be removed

it is too beneficial for the politicians to have banned, it always has been there

so unless we as voters take it out of equation, it will not work
