First of all ... happy 50th episode to all Chhanchhanians ... especially those who have followed the show from day one, mostly for Sanaya ... and have stuck to it despite all the ups and downs. Coming to the 50th episode - And the story starts ... NOW!!!

On the 50th episode, the journey of Chhanchhan started in earnest ... and how beautifully it was portrayed by Sanaya Irani ... supported well by Supriya Pathak and the rest of the cast! Today though was Sanaya's day ... aptly so!!! And she was brilliant! 👏

The confusion of a new bride in her new home ... missing is the one person she is really linked to ... her only support ... and she starts coming up against the new rules and laws in her new home, with no one to really guide her ... Sanaya portrayed so beautifully how lost, alone and confused Chhanchhan was in the morning, with no Manav by her side.
And her confusion and bewilderment grows with every minute as she's hustled back to her room, and more and more rules come spilling out ... and associated with the rules, the punishment for those heinous 'crimes' of not having a pallu over her head at all times, of wearing a nighty outside her room, even inside her own room, of getting up late ... while all Chhanchhan can think is ... what's the big deal? A pallu slipping?! In this day and age? But of course she can't say any of what she really feels ...

Umaben is honeyed poison ... sticking to her role of benevolent saas to her laadli bahu Chhanchhan, while leaving no stones unturned to turn the other two bahus against her ... RS get the punishment for not teaching Chhanchhan the rules of the house, while CC gets away with honeyed words ...
Umaben is sure that Chhanchhan is going to pack her bags in four days and run away from home ... she can't adjust to Umaben's laws.
Umaben doesn't know she has misjudged Chhanchhan completely ...

Loved the phone convo between the Sarabhai family and Chhanchhan ...

Disappointed in Babuji today ... I thought his character would shape better ... will have to wait and see how he develops. Of course, he didn't drop the plate deliberately ... and of course, Umaben made sure CC thought he did ...

Just one question - didn't Manav leave a note, an SMS, some message for his sleeping wife?

Manav dont have his mob with him? Then why chhanchhan is npt calling him...??!!!

Yes, am wondering the same thing. When her family called her, why didn't she try to call Manav? Or does she think he has simply gone out of the house and will be back soon ... she doesn't yet know he has gone to some village ...

Not much today besides everyone making sure the new bride feels absolutely NOT at home. What a family! Everyone is so hell bent on following and bowing down to UB whims and her so called rules that they have all lost compassion towards one another. Everything is so utterly mechanical and devoid of real joy in this house; and everyone is so unconcerned for CC, almost behaving like she is some unwanted guest!

Hey Diya, surprised that he left nothing behind. Or hasn't called, may be UB got the village cell phone tower jammed as well😛

True; spirit, they are really a dysfunctional family ... the only two people with any semblance of normality are Manav and Kaumudi ... and they have both been sent away. The rest are so caught up in the rules and the fear of the whip that they have lost all compassion and humanity ...

What a way to treat a new bride ... first send her husband away, and then make her feel like she has broken every one of the ten commandments ... because she doesn't have a pallu over her head and is in a nighty ... jeeezzz!!!
I felt so bad for Chhanchhan when she was talking to her family ... 😭 and trying to hold back her tears and her fears ... Good thing she is not going to be down and crying for long ... it will be fun to see Umaben's fury when CC manages to make the rotlis in time ... though honestly ... punishment ??? For grown adults??? What century is Umaben living in? And how wimpy are all the men in the house that they allow this to happen?! The Borisagar family needs a major shaking up!!!

Wonderfully described Diya...today was CC's first day in her new home...and what a day it was!

Loved every bit of your description of the range of emotions that Chhanchhan went through...

Sanaya was absolutely brilliant from the moment she woke up looking for Manav and till the end when she is still left worried for him...

Was almost in tears myself seeing Chhanchhan connect with her family...she has one rocking Daadi!

Unfortunate for UB though...she thinks she has won round one...little does she know CC is here to stay!
