"Sharon Can we tell Taani the truth now? I mean usne apna career and everything decide karliya hai." Rey's voice echoed throughout the empty rehearsal hall, as he tried to plead with his best friend Sharon.
"Of course Rey, ab sab kuch perfect hai. Go tell Taani everthing" Sharon plastered a give smile of encouragement on her face.
"Jab usko pata chalaiga ki yeh sab maine uske liye kiya hai, kya woh mujhe waapas lay gi?" Rey's voice now was filled with a hint of pain.
"Of course Rey,"
Without uttering a single word, Rey pulled Sharon and Swayam into a hug, based purely on his happiness. Oblivious to the fact that someone standing at the door had heard their whole conversation.
CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP
ShaReYam were disturbed from the hug, and turned around to look at who it was.
"Taani" ShaReYam whispered in unison, completely shocked by her presence. Soon, their shocked expressions were replaced with worried ones. Had she heard everything they had just said?
"Wow Reyaansh, I'm so honored that you did all of this for me." Taani's voice dripped with sarcasm, which didn't go unnoticed by ShaReYam.
"Taani, why are you talking like that?" Rey asked puzzled.
Taani: Like what?
Rey: Aren't you happy? Ki maine yeh sab tumharai liye kiya, hamare liye kiya
Taani: Happy? You want me to be happy? Are you serious? Please tell me you're joking.
Rey*confused*: What do you mean?
Taani: What do I mean? Let's see Rey, I mean ki mai khush nahi ho. Mai aapke koi bhi decision se khush nahi ho. Pata hai kyun? Kyunki HAMARI relationship ke liye faisla latai hua aapne apne bestfriend se toh puch liya, laykin mere se ek baar bhi baat nahi ki. Please enlighten me Rey, where was I in this "relationship"
Swayam: Dekho Taani, It's nothing like that. Rey toh bas-
Taani turned to her right, only to be taken by surprise as she hadn't seen her brother here. Before Swayam could continue, Taani interrupted him.
Taani: You knew?
The hurt and disbelief in Taani's voice was evident, and this only made Swayam uneasy.
Swayam: Look Taani
Taani: aapko pata tha ya nahi?
Swayam: pata tha
For some unknown reason Swayam's head drooped down. Taani let out a muffle sarcastic laugh, as her lips pulled into a smirk.
Taani: Wow perfect, jin do logo pai maine kudse bhi jyaada bharosa kiya, wohi mujhe laat marke chalegai. How convenient na?
ReYam looked up in shock. This was not what they had intended for. Everything was going completely wrong but before anyone could stop her, Taani started taking steps back. She was almost at the door when the gang burst into the room, pushing her forward as well.
The awkward silence in the air did not go unnoticed by the gang.
Vicky: What's wrong guys?
Taani: Nothing
Rey: Taani
Taani put her hand up, to signal him to stop talking. The gang looked at her hand suspiciously
Nil: What's really wrong?
A sudden idea popped in Taani's head.
Taani: Can I tell you guys a story? It'll only take 5 minutes and after the story, everything will make sense to you guys.
Everyone looked at Taani in confusion but nonetheless agreed
Simmi: Yeah Sure
Aashi: Okay types
Nil: about who?
Taani: Woh to aapko story ki ending mai hi pata chalai ga
The gang nods and sits down on the rehearsal hall floor, while ShaReYam and Taani remained standing.
Taani: Okay so, kahani shuru hoti hai ek larki sai. Yeh larki, ek larke sai bahut pyaar karti thi. Infact unse milnai se pehle hi unse pyaar karti thi. Toh woh larki sabkuch shorkai, Mumbai aiye, apne pyaar se milnai. Mumbai aake, us larki ko us larke sai aur bhi pyaar ho gaya. Toh ek din us larki nai, aapne feelings ka izhaar kiya larke sai, laykin larke ne use bahut rudely reject kardiya.
Listening to Taani, Rey goes into flashback mood, of when Taani had first confessed her feelings and how rudely he had talked to her and all the things he had said.
Taani: Uskai baad, us larki nai decide kiya ki who unse door rahegi, laykin pata nahi kyun woh kudh hi uske pass ate rahe. Bahut jaldi, woh dost bangaye. Phir ek din college mai, unke baraai mai a article was written and that boy got very mad and, us for her sake he fought with the boys in college. Pata nahi kyun? Do you know why?
Vicky: Of course pata hai. That boy fell in love with the girl.
Taani: Shayad, ya shayad nahi. Kyunki uske baad loog unke baarai mai aur baate karne lagai. Toh ek din us larke nai ek meeting bulwayi college mai, aur us meeting mai, us larke nai boldiya ki uska boyfriend already hai. And just by chance, the boy who tried to help the girl, by pretending to be her fake boyfriend, turned out to be the other guy's biggest enemy.
Bharat: Lo agaya villain
Taani: Precisely,
While Taani was talking, Rey knew she was telling their story.
Taani: Phir us larke ka behavior all the sudden bahut rude ho gaya, he always shouted at the girl, he always glared at her.
Vicky: JEALOUSYY!
Taani: And then, one day woh fake relationship ka sach bahar aiya aur woh larka phirse uske saath bahut nice hogaya laykin siraf 2 days kai liye kyunki phir us larki ko asi position mili joh us larke kai ideologies ke against thi. But he didn't understand that the girl took this position to help him out. Toh-
Neha: Boy again becoming rude
Rey remember how he always insulted, shouted and screamed at Taani because of his jealousy.
Taani: ha, aur phir a lot fights, tears, drama kai baad, finally us larke nai us larki ko aapni dil ki baat bataye aur woh ek couple ban gaye. After becoming a couple, everything was good, until the boy started lying to the girl.
Rey remember the Goa trip and how he left without informing Taani.
Taani: But she forgave him every time. Phir us larke nai us larki ko last priority bana diya aur apne friends ko first.
Rey remembered how he always ran late for his dates with Taani because he was busy with the gang.
Taani: but us larki nai yeh bhi maaf kardiya. Phir ek din aiya jab us larki nai chup ke us larke ki batai suni. And that boy told his best friend that he was tired of this girl, that she as irritating him and that he was only with her because that girl's brother is his best friend. Phir aur fights, tears, drama. Finally one day, us larki nai phirse us larke ki batai suni aur pata hai us larke nai kya kaha?
The whole gang leaned in while Rey put his head down.
Taani: He said that the whole break up was just an act because he wanted to bring the girl on the right path kyunki us larki ko siraf housewife bana tha, aur kuch nahi. Aur sabse aachi baat toh batana bhul hi gayi, us larki kai bhai ko sabkuch pata tha, laykin uske bhai nai kabhi usko bataya nahi, bas apni behen ko taraptai huyai dekh kar kush ho rata tha.
Swayam's eyes brimmed with clear liquid, this was all going wrong.
Taani: and that's it.
Taani snapped everyone out of the trance.
Taani: So now you tell me? What should the girl do? Should she get back with that guy?
Vicky: Of course not! Who larka itna bara kamina hai. He claims to love that girl but in reality he doesn't love her, because you don't destroy the people you love.
Rey's face changed to a horror expression. His love for her was one thing he had always been sure about, but now people were doubting that too .. no wait not doubting, full on saying he didn't love her. But he did and he knew it.
Nil: And her brother deserves to get kicked off this earth. He took his best friend's side, and watched his sister struggle. What kind of brother does that?
It was Swayam's turn to be appalled. Not in a million years had he thought, there would come a day like this.
Aashi: And that boy's best friend types. Ek larki types hokai, ek larki ki feeling types ki kadar types nahi ki.
Taani: Hm interesting, so kya aap sab is story ke character's se milnai kai liyye tayaar ho.
Amar: yeah
Taani: So that girl is ---------------------------------------- me. So, obviously, the brother is Swayam. That makes the boy Reyaansh and the bestfriend Sharon.
There was a pin drop silence in the room.
Taani: Funny isn't it? The people you were just insulting turned out to be your own friends, the friends you guys looked up to.
Taani picked up her bag and started walking towards the door.
? : Kaise mai kahu tujhse, rehna hai tere dil me
Taani turned around shocked to look at Rey on his knees on the ground with tears rolling down his eyes. Not only Taani, but everyone in the room was shocked, they had never seen the 'Reyaansh Singhania' cry so hard before.
Rey: Kaise mai kahu tujhse, rehna hai tere dil me
Taani felt like a knife had been pierced through her heart. No matter how much he hurt her, at the end of the day, she was in love with him, so in instinct Taani ran up to Rey and pulled in into a hug.
Rey felt like a piece of him had just returned to him. Being in her arms was in fact heaven itself. Oblivious to their surroundings, the two lovers rejoiced in this feeling.
The sound of a fake cough from Swayam, brought both of them out of the trance. Taani's brain which had just been fogged with Rey's images, now cleared up and she realized what she was doing.
She quickly pushed Rey away and got up. Unwantedly, a tint of pink painted itself over her cheeks but that pink was soon replaced by a red, when the anger came back to her.
Taani: What do you think? That you'll just sing a song and I'll happily come back into your arms?
Rey wiped his tears away and stood up.
Rey: Maano ya maano Taani, ek din toh tumhai mere sath hi uthna, batna, soona, jagna ho ga, kyunki us din se tum no longer Taani Shekhawat kai naam se jaani jaungi, balki Taani Singhania kai naam se.
Ad mist the tension in the air, a cute smile made its way onto Taani lips, which she tried her best to hide.
Taani: What makes you think that I want to be Taani Singhania
Rey: Nahi bana, toh mai uthakar lai jaunga.
Swayam: Rey
Suddenly, TaaRey became aware of their surroundings, and Taani in somewhat fake anger stormed out of the room.
Rey: I promise Taani, I will make you mine again.

The song that Shivangi gave me was only like 2 lines so I just incorporated them into this.
