Review Week 3 : Day 1

• If this is not sexy then I do not know what is!
• Salman proves yet again, he is the god of contemprory... the way he choreographs!.. This particular dance form is his strength undoubtedly.
• Performance flips: Nothing.. except for one floor work where drashti was not smooth.. this was.. worth watching!
• Flips otherwise: For 3 dances in a row, we have not seen Drashti perform on her own.. whereas every other star has. Since this is a competition, it is a very clever and intelligent move by the choreographer to play on strengths and he manages the show.. so yes no complains on that front .. but as a viewer.. I would like to see her inidividuality.. right now they have been playing only on contemprory.. that doesn't leave the celebrity to do much.. as the lifts etc.. are really the man's show..
• Bottom line: From Salman .. would like to see variety..
• 100% kudos to drashti for emoting the way she did.. 😃
• My score: Theme of the week: 2 (nothing innovative/new), Dance: 3, Emotions: 4 ( if you don't call this outstanding expressions then what do you call.. attitude IMO was perfect) = 9/12
• Theme of the week not outstanding because at some level.. we have seen a lot of contemprory now.. and these lifts...

• Salsa let's not judge that.. for they are great..
• Robotics out of comfort zone.. good act.. only thing.. atleast from sonali's stand point..although this act did not require expressions.. as they are robots. and a doll.. but then I think her expressions are always this..
• Score: Theme: 3, Dance: 3, Emotions: 2 = 8/12

• aha!..Did you think anyone could do any other dance form on Munni badnaam hui? other than the thumka.. let aside Cha cha cha..
• Savio.. hats off.. for bringing something truly truly truly unimaginable.. Munni badnaam hui - lavani and cha cha..
• I think extremely underrated choreographer.. I would like to see what he does if paired with a brilliant dancer..
• Meghna's strength are definitely emotions.. but i feel.. for lavani you need to have clear expressions like in theatrics ( which megs has).. but there has to be softness ( her's are tooo strong.. feminine softness is missing.. seductiveness is there.. but not the softness)
• Today I can honestly say.. if someone gives the comment ki "Energy kam thi".. then I can understand it .. because otherwise this is the most wasted comment..
• Transitions not so smooth..but kudos for the attempt..
• Score: Theme: 3( for the creativity), Dance: 2, Emotions: 2 = 7/12

• Tushar is clearly the best choreographer JDJ has.. infact the best I have seen ..including famous guys.. the only other famous choreo/ any choreo I cna think of who is a versatile dancer is Vaibhavi Merchant...every choreo has 1 strength or the other.. but that everyone has.. a true complete dancer is versatile..He is the best!
• The fact that they brought two Indian dances together.. I am super happy.. because for some reason.. unlike other countries. India has a rich rich tradition of classical and folk dances.. and these reality shows are not able to bring that out or these dances don't get their due..
• 3rd point: 2 indian dances.. and WHAT A WAY!!!..What a b'ful act.. Have seen chau many times being performed.. and yes, he did justice to it in the gamut of the paltform to be considered..
• Man!.. Ekta.. love.. gear up.. you have no idea who is dancing with you..
• Its a sheer joy to watch him dance..specially in the Indian dances..like I would say Patrick Swayzee rocks the western dances.. there is a definite charm that he brings.. 😉.. thats the best compliment I could give to Tushar..
• And well, Ektaa did almost ruin it for him..
• Also, you can see he is trying hard to come up with best choreo.. to build credibility.. because Ekta .. 😉
• Score: Theme: 4 ( I could give then 10/4 to differentiate it from the ordinaryness ( whatever is the correct english) of the other dances.. ), Dance: 3 ( I have overlooked Ekta.. else it was 2.5)..Emotions: 3 = 10/12

• Tap and Kathak .. nice combo.. as in its a fresh combo..
• Tap, I think KVB was very very very nice.. for a week's practice..
• Now like Karan J said, do not try stuff stick to your strengths.. again from compt perspective yes - case in point salman.. . i don't expect anything from him.. and frankly I wouldn't want to watch anything from him because I havent seen him dazzle in any other form.. but then he is bloddy good at what he does.. so in KVB's case too.. ya maybe from compt perspective.. good.. but as a viewer.. today's performance was a delight.. simply because on Indian screen we have not seen even a 1.5/4 decent tap dance..
