I can't even remember when I last wrote up an OS. I actually haven't written anything in a few weeks now. I've been trying to write up updates but keep losing my train of thought. I decided to write an OS on the precap and the new news combined. I wonder if I still have the ability to write or not! I guess the comments and number of likes will determine that. Anyways, enjoy!
Through Thick And Thin
Saansein yeh teri hain

Jeevan yeh tera hua

Yeh Dole
Janu na…
I closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to meet mine. Butterflies fluttered around in my stomach, as I could taste his cool minty breath. I could feel the heat radiating off his body and then I felt it; the most amazing feel I've never felt before. His soft, moist lips kissed me gently as though I were a fragile glass doll. I felt his feather light weight on top of me while he made sure not to put his entire weight down on me. I could feel our chests rising in sync against each other and our beating hearts that pounded in my ears.
Knowing this was just the beginning to the night sent a chill down my spine. The pleasure I felt could not be described in words. He was mine and I was his, we were soon to be one.
As I felt his hand running up my back , causing me to arch my back, and creeping towards the back of my blouse, I heard a ringing in my ears. My eyes shot open as his lips left mine and I stared up to see an annoyed expression on his face. He sighed and laid on his back beside me as he pulled out his phone. It was the third time that night, since RK and I had gone to the studio, that the phone was ringing.
"Biwi, even this damn phone is my pyaar ka dushman."
I giggled as he put the phone on speakerphone.
"What kabab mein haddi is calling me right now?"
"Chief!"
"Bittuji! You always interrupt by running into the room. Now you've upgraded to phone interruptions? At least give us this one ni…"
"Chief! Sul…Sultan's come."
My eyes widened, hearing the name I had almost forgotten amidst the wedding celebrations. I remembered back to yelling at him to leave when I felt all had gone wrong. I knew I had treated him wrongly, since he had only meant well for me, so I wanted to apologize.
I began to wonder what he was doing there. I looked towards RK whose nostrils were flaring in anger.
"Why Bittuji?"
"I don't know chief, but he's come with…a mentally disabled woman…and he's asking for you…"
"Why this night?! Why couldn't he come tomorrow! Why now."
RK cut the phone as we both sat up and stared at each other. He stared into my eyes as I felt a worried expression on my face. Then very gently he caressed the side of my face and smiled passionately.
"We're just not meant to make love tonight. Everyone's interrupting. We'll postpone this to tomorrow."
My eyes lowered as I felt my cheeks flush red and I nodded my head slowly. I felt him get off the bed and I looked up to see him smirking down at me.
"Arey Biwi? RK doesn't blush like that."
I laughed.
"Mr. Rishabh Kundra, I don't see you blushing like Madhu would, so I'm just doing the job for you!"
He smiled and put out his hand. I grabbed it and we both left the studio hand in hand.
---
"You're lying! Get this man and his crazy m…"
"HEY!"
My eyes widened in fear and my hands reflexively shot up to my mouth as I watched Sultan grab RK's collar."
"Don't you dare call my ma crazy."
"Why? What will you do?"
I put my hand on RK's shoulder and watched as he stared down at me. I slowly shook my head no and my eyes flickered towards Sultan. I could see the dried up tears and the puffiness of his eyes. He looked towards me and I saw a sort of pain in his eyes. I looked towards his hands on RK's collar and watched as they slowly slid off. RK brushed off his collar and straightened his jacket.
"RK, listen to me. I'm only going to say this once. Either you accept the truth or you'll pay."
"Who do you think you are to threaten me like that?!"
"Your older brother."
After hearing everything Sultan had said about how he was papa's first son and how papa was married to his mother first, I was shocked and confused. I could only imagine what state RK was in. He showed that he didn't believe it but I could see the tears building up in his eyes. Ma sat silently on the stairs in shock and even after I tried to make her snap out of it, it didn't work.
"What proof do you have? How dare you speak against papa like that?! Accuse him of such a thing?!"
"You want proof? I'll show you proof!"
I watched as Sultan walked towards his mother who stood near the door, almost as though she were afraid of us. She held a child's toy in her hand and clung to it as though it were her life.
Sultan put his arm around her shoulders and directed her towards RK who was in defensive mode. I knew how close RK was to his father, so I knew RK would not back down from defending him.
Sultan and his mother came to stand before us. I watched as Sultan held up his mother's arm and flashed a bangle before us. The exact same bangle which…
"Madhu."
My wide eyes met Sultan's as he spoke to me.
"Show RK your arm."
I slowly raised my arm to see a matching bangle. The family bangle, which was passed down from generations. The pair, which had separated, was one once again, but on separate arms.
Suddenly I heard a gasp escape Sultan's mother's mouth as she grabbed my arm. Her grip got tighter and tighter as I grimaced in pain and struggled to free my arm. RK stood still as a statue, as though the shock had finally hit him. As though he no longer was standing there, only his body was. His mind had wandered elsewhere.
It was Sultan who pulled his mother away. She took papa's name and pointed at the bangle on her arm and mine.
Sultan held his mother and looked back towards RK.
"I'll be back tomorrow, to get my mother's rights back. To get her what she deserves."
And with that, he turned and walked away as his mother stared back at my arm.
I felt tears running from my eyes as I realized what RK had just heard. I looked towards him and saw the tears in his eyes but they refused to flow. I looked towards the stairs and saw ma in a similar state, silent. I grabbed RK's face and shook him while calling his name and wiping away at my tears.
It wasn't until a minute later that suddenly RK pulled my arms away and ran up the stairs. I ran after him up until the stairs and watched as he slammed our room door shut. I looked back to where ma was sitting but she was no longer there. I looked to my left to see Dipali and Sikky taking her to her room.
"Bhabhiji, you go take care of bhai. We'll take care of mummyji."
I ran up the stairs and straight towards our room. I knocked on the door but there was no response.
"RK! RK listen to me!"
"IT WAS ALL A LIE. EVERYTHING. MY WHOLE LIFE. PAPA. EVERYTHING!"
I heard a loud noise from behind the door after he yelled out. I grew frantic and banged on the door, just as I had done earlier before the wedding.
Ten minutes passed when I heard a clicking sound. I tried at the door and realized he had unlocked it. I slowly opened it and saw him dragging his feet towards our bed. I looked around myself to see everything a mess. Most things were on the ground and broken. I ran towards RK as he dropped himself onto the edge of the bed. I sat down on the ground and looked up at RK. I wiped at his tears as he sat still, staring down at a picture in his hands of him and his father.
"RK…"
He looked down at me and locked eyes with mine. I saw a pain, which I hadn't seen in his eyes since the first time he had opened up to me the night of the first party where he had introduced me as his wife.
I gently caressed his face as he stared at me apologetically.
"I'm sorry Madhu…"
"Sorry? No RK. Nothing's your fault."
"I can't do this."
"Do what RK?"
"Anything. Everything was a lie…"
"RK…we'll get through this. Together."
I wrapped my fingers around his hand and stared at him, with a look that promised all the happiness in the world. A look that told him that I would not leave his side for a minute and we'd make it through everything together. I felt his fingers wrap around mine in response.
Though our wedding day was supposed to be a happy one, it turned out to be the complete opposite, pain-filled. But in the end, it brought us closer as we promised to stick together through thick and thin.
