Rishton ke Dastaan is ending on June 21 due to conflict between Production House and ZEE channel. Truly unfortunate since it's the only serial that I actually wait in anticipation and watch completely.

The others I catch 5 min. snippets here and there since most of them are the same old recycled storylines.

Onir can see that Purvi still loves Arjun but she feels a great obligation to Onir for saving her, and Onir wants to release her from the burden of that obligation.

If he tells her directly to go and be with Arjun, she won't listen so he has to enact this scene that he betrayed her by being already married...that would force Purvi to leave him.

It is only after Ovi left to Canada that this tamasha started. If you notice in yesterday's scene BEFORE Onir says, "what truth? that you are my first wife?" to Shalini, he glances to where Purvi is standing overhearing their conversation. Today too, he was concerned that Purvi was leaving with no destination in mind. Also, if he was really evil, he wouldn't have confessed to the "truth" 'cos Purvi asked him to promise on Pari. Pari wouldn't have mattered to him if he is really as bad as this "truth story" sounds.

Would also make sense that Kinshuk asked Arjun to stay away because of the dangers involved, she might have been egging Arjun on to help Purvi discover Onir's so called "truth".

You are correct. I thought this long ago that Onir was not going to be negative as he is probably hatching this plan to reunite purvi with arjun because he knew or observed that these two still love each other and that they are suffering a lot for the mistakes they made. When he first married purvi, he did not know her past but on finding this out he became soft towards her and arjun.
