Drawing room for improvement
Aryan's family has been living in this building for the past 25 years. "But recently, I moved into my own flat in the building," he smiles. His parents reside on the second floor while his flat is on the third floor. He is religious but doesn't follow Vastu or Feng Shui. "When I was looking for a flat I had an option of buying one either in Bandra or in Juhu." But Aryan says that he can't see himself living anywhere else except Juhu.
Aryan's knowledge of interiors is skewed. He says, "I have no knowledge of how a house needs to be done-up. Mine is a typical bachelor's house." But his three sisters excel at interior designing. "My eldest sister is married to music director Lalit of Jatin-Lalit fame," he says. His sisters have promised to re-do his place before the monsoon. "Let's see if they live up to their promise," he laughs. Although Aryan lives separately, he swears by his mother's cooking.
Couch ouch
Aryan was never interested in his textile-oriented family business. "I don't think I have it in me to take care of a business," he says. So Bollywood it was. Aryan says that his playboy image isn't real. In fact, he had a tough time explaining that to his current ladylove Anupama Verma. "It's only after we got out of the Bigg Boss house that we began to know each other without anyone watching us."
Of the two bedrooms in Aryan's flat, one has been converted into a gym. He usually works out twice a day but Bigg Boss hampered his schedule. And it's showing on his otherwise perfect body. "I must've lost 4-5 kilos of muscle." Before he became a model, Aryan worked as a chef at The Leela. "That's why I boast of my culinary skills," he says.

He then later ran his own catering business, supplying food to The Indian Medical Association of Bombay and The Rotary Club.

He believes that "contests help in personal growth and the all-round development of a person. It is the perfect platform to launch yourself. Contrary to what people believe, it takes a lot of guts and courage to go up there. Knowing that even when you bat an eyelash, you're being evaluated. It isn't easy."
He is hardly ever seen on TV unlike the rest of the model fraternity. "Soon after I won the contest", he explains, "I went to Hyderabad to shoot for a film. That hardly left time for anything else.
