Making resolutions and breaking them has become a common thing among most people. So, this year we quizzed our tele actors about the one thing they would want to see changed when they wake up on January 1, 2007. The lanky and vivacious Karishma Tanna, a south Mumbai resident, who has rented a flat in Malad to avoid combating Mumbai traffic and delays in reaching studios for shoots, is quick to reply, "I want to go back to my residence in town. I am just longing to be home. I want to change the traffic congestion and have free flowing roads so that I can go back to my original residence."
The cute and perky Monaz Mewawala too has complaints about Mumbai city as she puts it, "I want the potholed Mumbai roads to change into smooth and clean ones. I have just bought a new car and every time it plunges into a khadda, my heart goes thump!" Sushmita Daan appears to be more worried about her career and does not want the change to occur, as she expresses, "I should bag the two serials I am banking on and it should not change hands as it is so common
in this profession." Saadiya Siddiqui wishes that, "the erratic and irregular working hours of this industry changed. I wish I worked only for six hours a day as I love to watch the sunset, spend time with my family and read before going to bed." Anoop Soni is all charged up and gungho when he gets a new
assignment, only to find he has lost the zing half way through. So for the new year, he wants to, "change my tendency to give up what I started with high energy. I want to be more disciplined and maintain consistency in whatever I do." Trust Ashiesh Roy to come up with something wacky like, "when I wake up on Jan 1, I would change all the new year resolutions I made on Dec 31. Conversely, on Jan 1, I would change my mind."
Here's a classic case of two actors with diagonally opposite views. One is Divya Dutta, according to whom, "I am pretty happy. Until last year I wanted to change this or that, but now I want Jan 1 to welcome me the way I am."
On the other hand is Deepshhikha who wants to change everything about herself, "I want to have a total makeover in my life — from my impulsive nature to my house. I want a nice penthouse that fits into my budget. I want to change everything in my life." Anuj Saxena feels, "The one thing I want to change on Jan 1, 2007 is the hours in a day. Increase it because I want to pack 200 hours in a day as I have a production house, my acting career, business and a restaurant and all require time! Above that, in 2007 I have more things coming up."
