Episode 296 Discussion: 12th June 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Episode 296 Discussion - EOD Summary

Rasheed narrates to Sultan the story of his mother Meera in a flashback mode. Mohan Kundra is revealed as Sultan's father.

Events Of The Episode

1. In the mental asylum doctor sedates Meera. She notices Rasheed and gets violent. In sedated condition she calls out for some one called Mohan lamenting why he did what he did, leaving her. Hearing this Sultan forces Rasheed to reveal the truth. Rasheed reveals that Meera is talking about his father - Mohan Kundra. Sultan is stunned, angry to hear this and demands proof from Rasheed.

2. Rasheed identifies himself as Mohan Kundra's driver and in a flashback mode narrates the story of Mohan and Meera as it happened 30 years ago. A womanizer movie producer Mohan meets Meera, marries her in secret and vanishes without informing Meera, suddenly one fine day as his films start flopping. He returns few months after, married legally to someone else named Radha and regains his reputation with the help of Radha's father's financial support.

3. He is confronted by a much pregnant Meera who threatens to expose him to his family. Mohan spurns her leaving her devastated. Rasheed's story has some holes in it which he cannot fill since he has forgotten few details in between. Soon Mohan's films start flopping again. One fine day, Mohan brings an infant to Rasheed and his wife Naziya asking them to raise this orphan. Rasheed accepts the responsibility of the kid only because of the money offered by Mohan Kundra. Sultan is shocked to hear all this.

4. Elsewhere RK and Madhu spend few moments privately where they promise each other never to separate and be with each other always. Radhaji and Bittuji are content that RK Madhu wedding got over on a happy note.

Moving the story forward with incredible speed. This is what happens when you don't plan forward for more than a week at most.

The entire Sultan-Rasheed conversation can be said to be:- Meera worked in the costume department of Mohan Kundra's production house. MK was player, but when he was with Meera he remained honest to her. She insisted on marriage, after some resistance he agreed. And then after sometime when his movies started flopping and he lost money, MK vanished. He went somewhere, something happened .. which Rasheed can't remember. MK returned after marrying Radha for her money. He kept away from Meera who was pregnant. His films started going down the drain, again. During this time Sultan was born and MK gave him away to his driver, Rasheed and his wife Nazia to consider their own, while MK paid 2 lac at the time and 20k per month.

Nothing about why MK committed suicide. However, this confirms that Sultan is elder to RK. Also, MK was missing for less than 9 months, as Sultan wasn't born yet. His second good phase didn't last for long as he was already going downhill again by the time Sultan was born.

From the conversation, it is clear that for Rasheed Sultan was just a way to earn an extra income, while Nazia loved the child.

RishBala conversation hints at things to come. Their promises to not separate, their sudden feeling that everything was lost. They were again used as filler material.

Overall the episode was nothing but a setting of stage, giving a back story to MK-Radhaji-Meeraji.

The precap: Madhu-wala love from RK to Madhu for that night. Am I thinking to much or will the SR happen?

WOW ! a gripping episode...👏

more of it was dedicated to Mohan Kundra, the mystery man ! a couple of good things, they brought in the actor who's pic they'd put up in RK mansion..all this while i thought they used some random person's pic for a dead man 🤣

n i was ROFL with Rashi'd revelation ke MK ki romantic movies se zyada uske romance ke kisse the 🤣 Mohan ne raas leela rachayi hai haan..

now the story which he narrated looks logical to me...Meera married Mohan , later, he deserts her, marries Radha, gives away his son Sultan to Naziya and Rashid..and his financial condition was not good when he committed suicide and this might be another reason for him ending his life...a few angles are still unexplored, like Rashid forgot a portion of the story ..and of course, the story from MK's end, Radha might be knowing a few details but from the look of it, may be she was totally unaware and still is...bec. she always talked highly of MK, or may be just protecting his image for the sake of RK , so that he doesn't get wrong impression of his father..

well, can we trust Rashid? for the time being, yes i will..servants and drivers know the darkest secrets of the rich and famous...why will Rashid lie? and here, MK's image is being tarnished and it's being done on purpose bec. RK and family will never believe Meera's side of the story...and hence the conflict...

now Sultan has an edge here..he has a witness Rashid..he has Meera's bangle gifted by MK...but if the need arises, how will RK prove his father's innocence? there is no way i guess...this was MK's truth..

finally ! AHAAN ! the shadi is over ! 🥳 aage badho RK..🥱 jaane kya mahaan kaam karne wala hai ek raat mein...they made RM the supporting cast this week 🤢 I hope Sultan's story is over soon and they start off with RM and Sultan Meera, the real track...

Precap, zaroor, seal the deal 🤣 you can do it..in shadi mandap..

ETA i guess it's pretty much clear that MK's financial condition was not good at the time of his suicide and RK is very much a self made man...bhool jao property Bhai, Corolla pe sirf haq hai RK ka

ETA 2 i discovered bhai's 2nd expression today 😲

I just read the LU expecting that its gonna be Bhai's episode as per the spoiler... Looks like episode moved forward with Jet speed.. 😆 ... Why not, who wanna see Bhai's face for long 🤢..

So Mk was player basically... And we also got to know that Radhaji is a rich lady... Bechari, MK married her for her money, now Kuku also married her for her money.. She is the unlucky one to have such husbands.... But lucky to have our Rishu😳...

So Bhai cant claim any rights now... because whatever the property was there it was Radha's and whatever is there now it is RK's... So we can aaramse ask Bhai to get lost...

Looking forward to RK's reaction to his father's playboy nature ... But what is the proof that Rasheed is speaking truth😕 ... only time will tell

Okay, Sultan didn't seem that bad to me today. Rashid's story was interesting and I felt sorry for both Meera and (gulp!) Sultan. Working with two good actors like Zarina and Kannan seems to have helped Avinesh up his performance. It is sorely needed if he is to stand up to VD's histrionics.

RK's hand on Radhaji's shoulder and Sultan's hand on Meeraji's shoulder - so that's what this track is all about. Only Madhu's stand is unclear - who will she stand by? She still considers Sultan her friend and Meera's predicament is surely going to move her.

So Radhaji comes from a rich background. Did Kukku Bhatia also marry her for her money?

We got our token Rishbala scene lollypop 🤔 And the precap promised another one tomorrow. Was RK talking about the suhaagraat? I don't think so 😳

PS. In the scene Mohan hands over baby Sultan to Nazia-Rashid, I felt a resemblance to RK. Seems like the casting team is quite talented. Except for Sultan and Trishna they have got all actors right. The CVs seem to be paying attention to details - the Ambassador car and Mohan's long sideburns were very 80s 👍🏼

A bearable episode

I was just. Wondering at the pace of the story moving forward, but I guess it's essential that MK name comes out soon so that it all relates to RK. If not people will conviniently switch off exclusive sulthan saga as it is not what interests us.

The actor playing MK is looking gud.

Radhaji always said that MK was a very decent man she used to compare him with RK to make Rk do the right things as such may be she is not aware of the other son.

If rashid took care of sulthan for money, wouldn't he go to radhaji for money after MK death????

Why everyone came to life after all the time in the world??

Once when Radhaji was giving paddo the 40lakhs Rk says, the money u r giving away is mine, so all the property is rk hard earned so no property fight apart from old studio,lets see how RK reacts,

Todays episode🤣🤣 Angel turning into Devil Didnt like the episode🥱 after watching the episode i felt CV got inspiration frm Ekta Kapoor, full of crap and and conspiracy, changing character to just fit them according to the story😕 till nw Mohan Kundra ws knwn to be good hearted genuine man who respect people, and frm Rk"s point people always knew him to be an Angel, but after todays episode it seems he ws the biggest villian of the story, and a real devil, but still smthng seems to be miss, i think the story mite be true to sm extent but not fully, i feel that driver wasnt been truthful fully!! Am just waiting to see Rk"s reaction, coz after knowing all this am sure he wont remain all sweet!!

a million dollar question..may be Rashid was blackmailing MK and he committed suicide when Radha came to know abt his past deeds ..so Rashid had no reason to blackmail them..I won't be surprised if Radha knows it all..and she purposely didn't reveal it to RK coz he idolized his father...there may be something more to MK taking away Sultan from Meera..

also, who paid for Meera's hospital bills for 30 years?
