In the morning

'Ammi I'm leaving for office ' Asad spoke

'Wait for sometime Asad . Meet Zoya and then go , she's about to reach ' Dilshad replied calmly

'Ammi I don't have time for strangers . U know her , I don't ... And I can't keep my meetings on hold for anyone like that ...I'm leaving' he spoke

Dilshad had no choice but to nod in a yes ..

'Khuda Hafiz Ammi' he said and left ..

Dilshad took a glass of juice and went upstairs to Najma's room..

The door was open .. She was sitting on her bed ..lost in thought .. Her eyes had dark circles and her face was completely pale ..
Once known as Tamatar , her face was now something totally opposite to it ..

Dilshad's eyes had instant tears but she managed to hold them as she walked inside ..

'Goodmorning Najma ... See I got ur favourite Orange Juice ' she spoke smiling..

But Najma was silent ...lost ...

Dilshad sat next to her and touched her arm...

'Najma Beta ...its ur favourite juice ..remember u used to drink the whole Jar in one go .. Drink it beta' she spoke handing her the glass..

Yet Najma didn't respond ..

Dilshad couldn't hold her tears anymore ..as they started flowing down her eyes ..

'Please Najma drink it ! U can't live like this always ... I'm wid u , ur Bhaijaan is wid u ... We love u beta' Dilshad broke down..

Najma still lost , whispered 'there's no word as Love Ammi..love doesn't exist'

Dilshad stared at her wid teary eyes ..she tried every possible way to get her only daughter out of this mess but she failed .. Everytime she failed ...

Suddenly they heard the door bell..

'Najma please drink the juice .. Just a few sips .. I'll be right back I think the guests are here ' dilshad spoke smiling through her tears..

She went down and opened the door..

'Salam Dilshad Bi ' Anwar spoke

'Walekum-Salam Anwar...please come in' she replied

'This is Zoya ..' Anwar spoke gesturing to a quiet Zoya..

'Salam Aunty' she spoke softly

'Walekum - Salam beta ...ur beautiful' she spoke admiring Zoya ..

'ThankYou Aunty' she replied

'Please call me Phuppi .. Afterall Anwar is like my brother .. ' Dilshad caressed her hair ..

'Shukriya Dilshad Bi ...for letting Zoya stay here .. I can never thank u enough for that'

'Don't be formal Anwar .. Ur like family and then who would mind keeping a doll in their house ' Dilshad was a gem of a person when it came to 'mehmaan-nawaazi'

Anwar smiled ..'So I'll take ur leave now ' he hugged Zoya ..

'Please Zoya take care of urself '

'I will Jiju .. U take care of urself and don't cry much' Zoya softly spoke..

Anwar got teary ... And nodded

'Khuda Hafiz Dilshad bi'

'Khuda hafiz '

And Anwar left ...

'Come Zoya I will show u ur room ... U can rest for a while and then we'l have lunch'

'Sure aun...phuppi' zoya took her luggage and followed Dilshad..

Her room was between Najma and Asad... First Asad's room , then Zoya's and finally Najma's..

Zoya entered a beautiful room painted light blue and white ..

'Do u like the room?' Dilshad asked

'Its really nice .. thankYou' she whispered

'U don't have to thank be beta ... Make urself comfortable' Dilshad spoke and went from there ..

Zoya sat on the bed and took out her ipad ... She clicked open her family's picture..

Her eyes started glistening wid tears .

'Miss u' she spoke ..

Zoya was one of the most cheerful girls ever ... She was even an all-in-one types .. Could do anything and everything ... She loved herself and pampered herself the most !! She never realised the importance of her family until they died .. She was the younger one , so all her demands were met always .. Indeed she was a little spoilt too ... But ever since she lost her family and came back home to an empty place , she realized how important they all were to her .. How much they use to yearn for Zoya to spend a little time wid them , but she always had something to do either movies or hanging out wid friends ..
But now , there was no Family , no appi no ammi no abbu .. It was just her ..lifeless Zoya ... Alone in a stranger's house ...

Suddenly she heard something break..

She quickly got out of the room and checked everywhere ... When her eyes went to the door on her right .. It was slightly open...

She went there quietly and peaked in , there was a girl sitting on the bed .. Maybe she tried to pick the glass and it slipped away ... The girl looked pale and ill ... She had big dark circles and seemed Lost ...

'Zoya?' Dilshad asked from behind..

Zoya quickly turned to face her , feeling guilty for peakin inside someone else's room..

'Wo ..phuppi ..I'm sorry ..I heard something break ..soo' she stammered..

'Its okay beta . She's my daughter Najma , she's a little unwell these days' Dilshad smiled ..

But Zoya felt as if the girl was in some misery ...she didn't look sick like suffering frm viral or something types .. But Zoya repressed her thoughts and went to her room..

She took a shower and got dressed in a pink top and blue fitted jeans .. Tying her hair loosely on one side .. She went down to join Dilshad for lunch ..

It was a quiet lunch for both of them .. But Zoya was loving the the food .. It was delicious , she hadn't had home-made food since ages .. She remembered her mother makin all zoya's favourite dishes .. But she was a pizza freak , eating pizzas day and night .. She never bothered to eat her mom's cooked food thinking 'I can have it whenever' but now she realized tht whenever will never come .. And she regretted every bit of it..

'Aunt...sorry ..Phuppi .. The food is delicious' Zoya said wid a slight smile..

Dilshad was pleased to hear that .. More pleased to see someone else smiling in their house apart from her .. Though it was a slight smile , but it was there ...

'Thankyou so much Zoya ...I'm really glad u liked it '

'And these paranthas .. They are yumm ..u know phuppi in New York I only used to live on Pizzas , never bothered to eat the paranthas my ammi made for me ' she spoke wid a sad face ..

But a second later she was surprised at how suddenly she opened up to a stranger ..

Dilshad kept her hand on Zoya's

'Even I'm like ur ammi Zoya .. Maybe not as good as her .. But I promise to feed u these paranthas everyday till ur here '

Zoya felt relieved .. For some reason...
Maybe she could compensate for her Gunaah of not eating her mother's food ever ...
But she even realised that this stranger was really nice ... Close to her ammi.. Especially her smile .. She was always smiling .. Zoya wondered how ..??

'Ur really nice Phuppi'

'Always there for my kids' dilshad smiled ...

They were sitting at the dinner table when Asad called ...

'Salaam ammi...I wanted to inform that u people dine I'll be a little late in coming back ..I'll use the spare keys don't wait for me'

'Thik hai Asad . But don't make it too late' Dilshad spoke and kept the phone..

'Zoya , let's eat ...my son will be a little late in coming so he won't be able to join us for dinner '

Her son ... Even he must be like phuppi .. Always smiling ... Their life seems so perfect .. Zoya thought ... Wondering how once her life was so perfect but she never treasured it ..

It was around 12am
asad's car was at halt , right at the same place like yesterday ... His eyes immediately went out to that pavement .. And no she was not there today ... He shook his head ... He's plain unlucky ...

Zoya was tossing from left to right on her bed ... But she couldn't get sleep ... Her ammi's voice kept echoing in her ears ... Her last words before Zoya left the house to go wid jiju..

Flashback

'Zoya beta come back home soon ... Please for once For ur ammi ..I really want to spend some mother - daughter time together' she spoke

'Allah Miyan what's wrong wid u Ammi? please ... I have my whole life to spend time wid u .. There's so much work I have to do today ... Especially buying the gift for appi .. And please u guys don't make it late to the venue' she spoke and left her house ..

Flashback ends..

'I wish ... ' She whispered .. As a tear rolled down her eyes ...

Zoya felt very uneasy .. And just couldn't close her eyes .. Finally she decided to drink some water .. Maybe she feels better ..

She tip toed down the stairs .. Not wanting to wake anyone up..

Switching on the lamp..She opened the refrigerator and took out a bottle .. As she took the first sip she heard something..

'Excuse me ??' A man's voice ..

Startled she turned around and was about to trip ...

When in a reflex Asad caught her ...

He held her waist firmly.. Wid a frown on his own face he stared at her ...
Zoya's eyes were closed , as she clutched to his arms tighter ..
Asad couldn't help noticing her serene face ... And quivering lips ..

'Ammi's guest' he thought ...

Zoya slowly opened her eyes as she realised she wasn't on the floor but in someone's arms...

Instantly their eyes locked ... Asad was smitten by her childlike almond brown eyes ... He noticed something unsual in them ...zoya noticed his perfectly chiseled handsome face but he had a crooked look that made Zoya felt uncomfortable..

She quickly straightened herself ..

'I...I...am...sorr..' She stuttered

Asad scratchd his temple in the awkward position ...

'Umm .. Its Fine ... U must be Ammi's guest' he spoke wid a stern face..

Zoya nodded ..

Suddenly Dilshad entered the kitchen.

'Is everything okay??' She asked concerned

'Yes Ammi .. Its fine' asad spoke ..

'Asad meet Zoya , I told u about na .. She's Zoya Farooqui ... And Zoya that's my son Asad Ahmed Khan' dilshad spoke...

Zoya looked at Asad from the corner of her eyes ..

'Salam' Zoya spoke softly..

Asad cleared his throat ' walekum-salam'

'Ammi I'm tired .. I'll get some sleep' he spoke leaving abruptly ...

'Goodnight Asad' dilshad spoke ..

'Zoya beta u also sleep .. Do u need anything?'

'No Phuppi .. Just needed water ' she spoke and left too..

As Zoya went upstairs ... She saw Asad standing near Najma's room.. Exactly the way she was ..peaking inside ..

'Please get okay soon Tamatar..I miss u' Asad spoke softly but Zoya heard it ..

And Suddenly he turned ..startling Zoya for the second time...

Her face flushed red

'Uhh--im sorry..I was just ...' she spoke looking down..

'Eavesdropping is not good . Please go to ur room its late ' he spoke in a tone that sent shivers down Zoya's spine..

She quickly turned around and entered her room..

And Asad went to his ...

'Allah Miyan .. He is rude ..I thought he would be like phuppi .. But he's cold' Zoya spoke as her heartbeat was racing due to the tone in which Asad spoke ..

'Living under the same roof wid that stranger girl ... This is going to be tough .. I need to keep distance from her ' Asad spoke closing his eyes ...

I am curious to know wat exactly has happened with Najma, looks like she's dead from inside 😔

n Asad was looking around for Zoya on that road??😳 ( I m sure the girl was Zoya right)

n how her family died I wanna know!!

also loved how u hav showed the loving relation between Dilshad n Zoya@@😊

n u gave us an eyelock in the very first meeting ❤️😆

n I hope Zoya helps Najma come out of her trauma😊

just loved the update ...plz update the next part soon😃

P.S. - why did Asad in the end said "its gonna be tough living wid sum stranger gal under the same roof n he needs to maintain distance frm her?? Doesn't he trust himself or has no self control??😆
