On my recent trip to Delhi, I visited the Birla temple.there are statues of several kings in its garden. And, one of them is the statue of Prithviraj Chauhan! Below the statue, their is a small intro. abt prc.

Also, I visited the museum in purana qila(killa) in which they have described the reign of the rajputs. In that, it is said that during the reign of King Anangpal ( PRC's maternal grandfather) Delhi was called Lal Kot. After that the chauhans succeeded him and Delhi was renamed qila rai pithora.

Thx for sharing this....I also came to know that RAI PITHORA was the real surname of the Chauhans and Chauhan is the corrupt name of Chahaman....I found it out in the internet....Good to see that we people are interested in History....History has always been my favorite...But remembering the dates and the big names is a stupid and tough task though!! 😆 😆
