Happy Maharana Pratap Jayanti !

No post regarding Rana Pratap's Jayanti ? I really thought that i would see an entire thread dedicated to this occasion . Well since i didn't see any topic, i would make it myself, DTs feel free to close this topic if a similar one has already been made and if this is the first topic regarding this occasion, then i request u to make this a sticky .
We have a state holiday today in Rajasthan because this day marks the birth of Maharana Pratap, one of the greatest warriors of this country (the birthdate displayed on wikepedia is incorrect) .
So lets gather and remember a great warrior who fought till death to save his motherland from the Mughals . I tried posting a posting a poem in Rajasthani which praises this mighty Rajput ruler, but i guess IF does not support Hindi . If possible, i might add its hindi translation later on. I am searching for another absolutely wonderful poem written upon the brave Rana by a well renowned poet Madhav Darak, the poem is called 'Mayar tharo vo poot kathe' i would post it immediately after finding it . If anyone else finds it, please feel free to post it.

As per Wikipedia...his birth-date is 9Th May,1540.😊

well i guess today is his birthday according to the tithi and if we go by ancient times, tithis were the only basis to remember an event, dates were insignificant . So yes, the Jayanti is or should i say was, today only .
Never mind atleast we got to know that it was today. We can celebrate tomorrow too. Right ?
