I agree! Love it, it's a full on Punjabi wedding! They're so accurate in all the customs, except I didn't understand the one where they rubbed leaves on the head. What was that? When those 3 women came from other shows?:)

I am a punjabi muslim.. and done all the rituals too.. I miss the epi but I guess you are talking about tel chadana ceremony. Its something to say about the bride's beauty , health ... but my grandma always said that after the tel chadana.. its oficial wedding house..

Yes, I was talking about the tel chadana! 😃 Thanks for the help!
You know the tel chadana, is that the same thing as/similar to the Maiya? Just they didn't rub the yellow thing on their skin and instead the grass in their hair?

nope... maiyan is haldi...

and they werent rubbing the leaves on the hair...the leaves had oil in it...so they were using the leaves to apply the oil onto the hair...

my parents are both punjabi...my dad said hes never heard of tel chadhana...whereas my mom says it happened to her during her wedding 😆 she questioned my dad, if it happened to him on his side, and he was like nope...and she was like hawww so our marriage is incomplete 😆...i think it has to do with good health, prosperous weddings occasions and stuff..

like we also put oil on the sides of the doors, when a new family member (bride, groom, new born baby etc) enters the house for the first time...its for good luck..

Have these guys done a maiyan/they're not going to... If the wedding is tomorrow?

As here, they do the maiyan, sangeet, maiyan, mehndi/party, SHAADI!

Oh that's awkward, my bad, using it to apply oil to the hair, makes so much sense 😆

But I guess I'm not completely out of the loop! I'm gonna ask my mum about it later, lol.
