You know the tel chadana, is that the same thing as/similar to the Maiya? Just they didn't rub the yellow thing on their skin and instead the grass in their hair?

my parents are both punjabi...my dad said hes never heard of tel chadhana...whereas my mom says it happened to her 😆...i think it has to do with good health, prosperous weddings occasions and stuff..

like we also put oil on the sides of the doors, when a new family member (bride, groom, new born baby etc) enters the house for the first time...its for good luck..
