So many ways to be eco-friendly

I'm not even going to pretend here, I thought that the wedding seriously could have been "eco-friendly" without having to resort to paper decorations...You know maybe real flowers are very expensive but there are always fake flowers. She could have put nice table tops and it still would have been eco-friendly.

When the man came to give them the envelop and she said she can't accept it, I wanted to slap my forehead. Does anyone even refuse something like that? And don't go running to conclusions, I'm not saying anything else but that she could have simply said "Thank you so much" with her beautiful smile, then at the end she could have just slipped it in the donation box. I don't think he's gonna go after her and say "Where's that envelope I gave you?" Anyway, I personally did not like that part.

Okay and the other thing, as much as I am up for eco friendly weddings because even I get so angry when there's so much wastage, I think that Manav's family should have been able to have a little say in how the wedding happens! Poor people were embarrassed and even Chhanchhan's family was as they heard people making their stupid remarks.

Anyway, I LOVED the garland exchange. I thought it was so CUTE when she called Rugved to lift her up. Very sweet. And the new jodi...hayee. I love them! I can't wait to see more of them!!!

Have a great day/night!

Agree.
Just now i saw the epi.I too feel the same she should have said thank you and should not have told him to drop cover in donation box .She should have accepted and in front of him she could have dropped the cover in the donaation box.
Don't mistake me this is what i felt.

Agree. It's the first thing I noticed after I saw the episode. The eco-friendly wedding went too far. The paper decorations weren't really eco-friendly...at least not as much as flowers would have been. But the worst has to be the gift that she received. I thought she would take it and put it in the box herself. But refusing it was rude. Speaking of rudeness, you don't force others to finish their food!
I wish they would have kept the wedding more fun. It was boring to be honest. Hopefully we see better tomorrow. Oh yes! ChanMan ☺️ Those two are so adorable!! ❤️

I know right?! Especially the food part, I was just shaking my head thinking "No, no, no!!" Not good. I swear the wedding would have been prettier just at their home but whatever. What to do now? haha.

I absolutely agree! It kind of made me cringe too. Realistically does anyone really do that? They could've used real flowers, the noise pollution thing was unnecessary too. I mean come on people only get married once, can't they express their excitement through music? People talk about the "shor" in marriages for decades for a reason!

Agree.
The script was poor. All for "eco-friendly", but this was a little strange. The handling of the gift from the uninvited guest was badly handled. Even if the bride did not want to accept it, there should have been a better explanation. oh well...
But, Sanaya and Anuj looked so cute together...nice jodi.

I feel the show is finally fulfilling its objective - showing the clash of 2 different ideologies, none of which is totally right nor totally wrong. Sometimes v will agree with CC n sometimes UB. Yesterday's episode was a balanced take.

CC's family introduced to us a very unique marriage style. V appreciated the intention behind every action whether it be working for the benefit of orphans or preventing noise pollution or reducing food wastage. At the same time v couldn't help feeling sorry for the Borisagars as the sarabhais went overboard. They weren't consulted for their son's wedding, they were the ones facing the criticism of the society which has never dreamed of such a marriage;inspite of all the good intentions, their youngest son's marriage couldn't make either them happy or their guests.

For some fans, this marriage turned out to be an inspiration while some couldn't digest this marriage cz many would like to celebrate the most special moment of their lives with great fervour. I don't think the PH were conveying unrealistic ideas, rather showing how modern ideas seem unrealistic in today's society. Anyways it's a light-hearted show, let's not take things too seriously 😛

As for the kemji incident,imagine...had CC accepted the gift for herself n manav n then quietly dropped it into the donation box without kemji knowing where exactly his gift went, wouldn't that have been a greater offense?😊 Instead she was honest abt her intentions n gave kemji the option of donation. As I said in some other post,it takes immense guts to implement such ideas in real life but let's not disapprove of the intentions behind such ideas!

I agree. The eco-friendly concept was good but CVs went a bit overboard with it and it looked unrealistic. They could have done it in a subtle way.

true.

they could've gone a bit easy while enforcing the message..

apart from that...they could've also given us more eye-lock of the newly wed...

i loved the relationship parts CC's mom-Manav, CC-Manav-Rugwed, CC_Manav-Simple-Himanshu scenes..

rest i found downright offensive..n i felt so bad for the borisagars!!
1. the gift! good lord would something have gone from CC had she just accepted it quietly and given it to the orphanage later?
2. bottle decos? why not artificial flowers that look so like real ones? i have seen them myself in weddings! until u touch them u can't tell the difference!
3. the precap left me cringing NOOO!!

one message i took was no eco friendly for my wedding!! i am one day gonna get married just once in a life time!! n it is going to be lavish n happy..or small n closely knitted!
the whole life is left to be eco friendly..

i love simple mandir weddings with family only when it is eastern weddings
i love simple beach weddings when in western weddings

basically the warmth of a wedding.. the joy of 2 families witnessing the happiest day in their son n daughter's lives was missing..

cz truly except for Ub every1 was supposed to be happy.. but the wedding was anything but that!!

i wish they concentrated on subtle nuances..sweet happy moments of a family instead..
truly disappointed..
