Just wanted to stay away from the torture of the past week episodes, was only reading updates and dint feel like posting either. Coming back to chapter 4, I loved it again and if a bad reader like me says this then it has to be something special. My most loved part about this FF is that Prithvi is a city guy adn Meera is a village girl, very interesting.

CHAPTER-5.

Prithvi had a flashback of those beautiful eyes staring daggers at him,as he looked at the jhumka in his hand.
Dayan..She had called herself.Prithvi again smiled to himself clutching the earing in his hand.
Finally he got up,carefully wrapped the earing in one of his clean handkerchief,and put it away in his suitcase.
This will be a part of my memory,he thought.
Whatever destiny has in store for me,I've the complete right to keep my memories to myself..Decided Prithvi.
He looked around the candle lit room.The room was furnished with a large four poster bed,an antique dressing table,a large and heavy wooden almira,a wooden table,a pair of sitting chairs and also a rocking chair.It was a part of his ancestral home.A part of his heritage,that had brought him back to Baragaon,leaving the comforts of his villa in Delhi.
He stood at the window,staring at the panoramic view of the moonlit garden around the Khanna Haweli,lost in his thoughts.
"Beta...Here is your dinner."Prithvi was pulled back from his thoughts by Ramu kaka,the caretaker of the haweli.
Ramu kaka was now the only living soul in this huge place and lived in a cottage outside the house.
Prithvi smiled at the old man,as he said,
"Thank you Ramu kaka.You don't have to stay awake for my sake.Please go to sleep."
Ramu kaka nodded,placed the tray on the table,and left the room,quietly closing the door behind him.
Prithvi sat down on the rocking chair,leaned back,closed his eyes,and got lost in his thoughts once again...His memories coming back to him in series...

Prithvi Khanna,had always been a quiet and polite boy.He was a perfectionist,and always very neat and tidy in his habits,He believed in doing everything with a touch of perfection,whatever the task was.
He had lost his mother at a very young age of 1 year,after which his father had tried to compensate for this loss by his extra love and care.His father had also ensured,that he got the best education,so Prithvi had graduated from Harvard.But sadly his father had not been there at his graduation ceremony,as he had died,leaving Prithvi alone when he was 21.
Prithvi had no memories of his mother Pramila Devi,except a picture of her with his father after their marriage with baby Prithvi on her lap.His father had also never talked much about her.All he knew was that she was from Baragaon too,and his parents had loved each other a lot.In fact so much that after her death his father had never once wanted to marry and had decided to look after Prithvi himself.
Mr. Rajeev Khanna,had spoken very little about his village Baragaon too.So Prithvi just knew his father had left the village with a five year old Prithvi,due to some dispute with Prihvi's late grandfather Rajveer Khanna.But he had never told Prithvi anything whatsoever about the dispute.
Prithvi's grandfather,Rajveer Khanna,though a man of a very strict and firm nature,had always had a soft heart for his only grandson,Prithvi.Though the old man had severed all his ties with his only son,he had kept contact with Prithvi,by sending him gifts on his birthdays and other occasions.But yet,never had the old man,even once called Prithvi up or wanted to see him..He had just sent one letter to Prithvi on his 21st birthday along with his gift.The content of the letter was very little.And Prithvi had puzzled over its implication..It had just said:
Now you are old enough to understand this Prithvi,though your father never did,that you have to be the one to save your heritage.Don't put me down,like your father did.I believe,you won't.As you are more like me-a true Khanna,who'll not shirk from his duty and obligations to his ancestors.
Prithvi had been about to ask his father for explanation,but as if fate did not want him to find out the truth so early,his father had suddenly had a stroke,and after a month died...But before his death,Rajeev Khanna had taken a promise from his loving only son,Prithvi.He had made Prithvi promise that he will fulfill the duty Rajeev had failed in fulfilling..A teary and heartbroken Prithvi had promised his father who was in his death bed that he will fulfill whatever task and responsibility was expected of him,without question or opposition.So that day Prithvi's fate was sealed.
After his father's death Prithvi was left alone with his loneliness and questions.Then the only other person,who could have answered his questions,the writer of the letter himself,his grandfather had also died after a month,following his son's death.
Then last week,on his 27th birthday,Prithvi had received the 2nd and last letter,left by his grandfather for him,along with the documents,from his grandfather's lawyers.The content of the letter had really shook him and surprised him, but a promise was a promise.And Prithvi never broke his promises.So here he was,back in Baragaon,from where it had all begun...
Whatever it takes,I'll fulfill my promise...Prithvi thought as he stood up,and started pacing the room restlessly...


Meera quietly opened the iron gate,and stealthily walked into the grounds of the empty Khanna Haweli with a food container in her hand.The full moon in the starlit clear sky,illuminated her slim figure and wild open hair,as they blew in the wind...

I am happy Akash is not there . I hate triangles from my chidhood. There are a lot of boys and girls so why should tow boys fall in love with tge same furk?

Also Prithvis whole family passed away . It is good also . We don't need unuseful characters.

I guess Prithvi is going to compet DT.
