Vikram Seth the genius

A Suitable Boy is one of my most favorite books! I absolutely love the story and used to wonder why no one ever tried adapting it for the screen. Of course given how massive the book is, a movie is out of the question, but a TV series would have been ideal. However, after recent disappointing book-to-screen adaptations, I would rather the story remained in print only. This is the only book of Vikram Seth I read so far.
