Mallika to miss Guru world premiere?

She's the sex symbol of Bollywood; really hot property! Her sizzling number 'Maiyya Maiyya' from the film Guru has Mallika sinuously winding her body to AR Rehman's exotic music.

But the hottest news on the Bollywood grapevine is that Mallika's soaring popularity is not going down well with a certain Ms Rai. If the little buzz in Bollywood is anything to go by, then Mallika has not been invited to the world premiere of the film in Toronto in January.

And that's because Ms. Rai was supposedly a trifle uncomfortable about sharing the limelight with Mallika. After all, her last experience of sharing the stage with her - during Cannes film festival last year - saw Mallika hogging a lot of attention. This time around, Ms. Rai does not want to take any chances.

But then again, Mallika can take some solace from the fact that the second lead actress of the film - Vidya Balan - also hasn't got an invite so far. In fact, our snoops tell us that Vidya's conspicuous absence from the promos of Guru is again courtesy Ms. Rai.

However, a second list of invitees is still being decided upon. Maybe Vidya and Mallika's omission from the first list is a wrong that the second list might just right.
