I am sorry for using the word lover here but I could not think of another word for what they are showing. He is behaving like a besotted teen who has fallen in love with moon

He is a Bhakt but what he is doing is not Bhakti . Bhakti is based on true love and love is about freedom

Why are they showing Ravan as a kind of savage who wants to chain the object of his love and keep him in a tower where none but he could see him

I don't think that's how Ravan personality was really like

Dashanan ke mahadev kehelayenge got the cake, it jarred on my nerves

You know, I think they are trying to show that Bhakti ki Parakashtha which you get for God, and how that bhakti changes into possessiveness, Ahankaar, and finally patan.

But I think they can cut down on the Mere Prabhu a little

They can cut on dishanan ke mahadev also

We had the same problem with track of Raavan where we felt he looked like an obssesive lover more than a bhakt but since past two epi's I feel relaxed beacuse we know where this track is leading and Dashanan is already arrogant and we can sense his change to complete evil soon.

Yes the way he treated kuber today it's apparent he is treading on a path which will lead him farther and farther away from God

Kuber's last line asking Mahadev to forgive Dashanan. We will also see I think Nandi's curse to Dashanan they did not show anything in the precap but.

They are showing the same thing what describe in hindu mythodolgy. We all know Ravan was arrogant. Also he try to lift kailash mountain to take mahadev to his place. Bhakt like nandi can think of staying in kailash with mahadev but Ravan think to take mahadev to his palace. We can assume that Ravan think like cvs are showing.
