yes Nandi's curse is very potent because later Hanuman will set fire to Lanka due to that very curse. Everything has a reason and every curse effective. I love this track.

Ravan was flying in pushpak viman tried to fly above mount kailash but stoped by nandi and shiva ganas ravan called nandi a monkey several times nandi got angry by this and cursed him that he ( ravan) ending caused by monkyes. That why hanuman could enter lanka, sri ram choose monkyes as his army.

He is a Bhakt but what he is doing is not Bhakti . Bhakti is based on true love and love is about freedom

Why are they showing Ravan as a kind of savage who wants to chain the object of his love and keep him in a tower where none but he could see him

I don't think that's how Ravan personality was really like

Raavan was very Pious man at first the most ideal man during his era but due the infliences of his mother and maternal grand father he became evil . Also his father cursed him that he his sister and kum will become Rakshas. If Ravaan behave the way he did he would've been ideal man

I just pointed out this yesterday only,i mean exactly like an obsessive lover.As far as i know ravaan was true devotee of mahadev.This looks funny like an obsession.
