The Meeting

Chapter -10 (b)

09:07 (Sunday)

Madhu was bathing Max who was giving her a tough time, she herself was totally drenched all because of him,

Max, please don't do this, im already late, come here .

Just then her cordless began ringing

Oh god, Max promise me youll not budge from here, I'll be back in a minute.

She moved to the bedroom, picked the call. Caller Id read Private Number. But there was no answer from the other side. She kept the phone down, but it again rang, again no answer from the other end. She was drying Max when it again rang now this was the limit, whats with this person yaar, how can people be so free.

She kept her anger at bay & answered the call. Heck, this person was surely testing her patience, after giving him a piece of her mind or rather to call it "lecture on Columbia uni. Research". She banged the phone down. But to her utmost annoyance, it rang again, and that was it!!!!! she picked the phone & blasted off

R U nuts!!!! Don't u get it that im not interested in playing Hello- silence –Hello- silence so early in the morning!!! Now keep the phone down & do not call again else u will not need a psychiatrist but a doctor because im presently planning to purport myself to ur end & bang ur head to the nearest wall, bringing u out of ur short term memory & speech loss problem & pushing u into permanent coma!!!!

Whoa Whoa, breathe my dear!!!! Breathe, im amazed who in this world has this caliber to make "Thy highness" so mad.

Nitin, o my god im so sorry!!, im really sorry! I didn't knew it was u.

Nitin & Madhu seated themselves on a table & ordered their meals.

So tell me who was the poor guy,

Poor my foot!!! that stupid blankcaller was troubling me since morning & ur r sympathizing with him.

BLANKCALLER!!!, why didn't u tell me before, Ok.leave it did u ask Satish to get the caller details.

No, I didn't , actually I didn't get the time. But I will soon.

No not soon, call Satish now!!!! I can not take chances with some wacko blankcaller.

Ok!! Baba…Im calling…fine.

Madhu soon dialed Satish & asked him to get the details abt the private no from which she received 3 calls abt an hour ago.

So….happy!!! now just forget the call & lets talk abt something else…………

Nitin was a total ladies man, he had the charm , personality , aura, sense of humour & that killer smile that could make any girl weak on her knees. He knew his effect on the other sex thoroughly enjoyed it, but his equation with madhu was completely different.

Relationship between Nitin & Madhu was undefinable, if u call them just friends u would be wrong, coz it was more than friendship but they were not lovers, they shared every secret of their life, knew each other in and out, there was no pretense, they were caring, possessive & supportive ,their bond was not like brother-sister or girlfriend-boyfriend , it was unique , pure, pious yet unnamed & undefinable.

After the breakfast, which both enjoyed thoroughly laughing, teasing, pulling each others leg Nitin dropped Madhu to her house, rest of Sunday went relaxing for Madhu.

Monday marked the return of the usual busy schedule, apart from the fact that today, she was hosting the dinner to which 2 of the most important people of her life- Trishna & Nitin were invited. Winding up her days work, she rushed to her flat & began preparation for the dinner. She was busy chopping vegetables when she received a call from Satish to inform about the blankcaller. But the revelation of the bankcallers name left madhu stunned, why would RK give her miss calls???, what was he trying to do or rather prove by doing this, the way he had left her cabin 3 days back warning her, she knew he will try everything possible to make her life hell, but is this the way he will execute his plans by giving her blank calls !!!! this man is weird!!!

Her chain of thoughts was broken by the arrival of Nitin followed by trishna.

Hmmm……smells delicious!!!

Ha……Yaar Madhu ghar me ghuste hi mere pet me to chuhe daudne lage. Tujhe pata hai tere haath ka khana khane ke liye mai apna favourite serial bhi miss kar sakti hoon. She said dramatically

To which madhu rolled her eyes & Nitin smacked her head lightly.

Drama queen,ye aur apna favourite natak chodegi, abhi dekhna jaise hi sadhe aathh bajenge hum dono ko chod ke ye kaise TV se chipak jayegi .

OHHHOOOHOho…….u r talking as if u don't watch TV atall, IPL aata hai to Mr. apna phone tak switch off kar dete hai taki koi disturb na kare.

Chup kar chipkali, RK ki film kaun dus-dus bar repeat kar ke dekhta hai.

Tu chup kar Cockroach kiske bed room wall pe Katrina kaif 100 by 100 ka photo chipka hai..hunn.

Stop it now …….tum dono ko to bas ladne ka bahana chahiye. Cant u 2 just sit down & talk like civil people.

Both were still glaring at each other, but Madhu knew their anger was just superficial, she could bet both for sure were suppressing their giggles seeing each others comic angry face. And soon both burst out laughing, and after sometime scene was like- all 3 were laughing & rolling like maniacs each sharing funny events during their 1 month separation & laughing to their hearts content. When slowly their laughter died, Madhu spoke up

Do u guys know my next case is against RK.

O…who RK.??? Trishna questioned. Both madhu & Nitin gawked at her.

Soon realization dawned on her, You mean RK as in THE SUPERSTAR RK!!!! When Madhu nodded in acceptance.

WHAT!!!!How??i mean why??? I don't remember RK being caught doing something criminal..imean it was not anywhere in the news???

I know Trishna, this time im fighting the case for Mr. Mehta, he's filing the case for breach of contract. As RK stopped shooting for his film causing him a huge loss.

But why u , u don't fight such cases then…

Nitin u know I can never decline a request from Mr. Mehta, I owe him my life, this is just a small favour I can do register my gratitude.

Both nodded in acceptance.

O..madhu I m so sad, my RK would lose,

Trishna cupped her face whipped her tears, but madhu was in a trance she was constantly ranting the same thing.

Tell me madhu…whom u can't face ??

He..He's fighting RK's case, I cant face him, I will definitely lose the case, I will not be able to face him……I cant fight against him…..I just cant!!!

No…no….Madhu please don't lose ur confidence. Trishna tried to pacify her but she was hysterical.

Nitin took the charge of the situation, and gestured Trishna to move aside, he caught hold of her shoulders & shook her

How could u Madhu??? How can u accept defeat without even fighting. Madhu listen ,to me , see here, u r not that vulnerable old Madhu whom that bas***d Bhatia forced to retreat back u r THE MADHUBALA MALIK- the best criminal lawyer of the country, u r the best do u get me , U r the best, you will fight him & defeat him , because u need to show him his true place. U cant hide you need to fight back, teach him a lesson pull a tight slap on his cheek of his own law books.

She felt so blessed to have them in her life, she hugged them both tight, both were her support pillars, with their strength she stood unfaltered facing the ruthless world.
