But this post is not about any of the topics that have been covered in other posts.
Yesterday's episode was the final straw for me, in terms of the behaviour of this particular character.
I'm talking about Neha here.
Ever since she's broken up with Vicky, the way she's been throwing herself at him, especially after Aashi's entry in the show is really pissing me off to say the least.
I hate to say this but her insecurities are bordering on desperation.
She is shown to over react every time Vicky as much as stands next to any other girl.
As a female viewer of the show, it's very disturbing to see such a thing on a show catering to the youth.
Modern girls are not so insecure and desperate to get their love back that they start being possessive to an almost pathological level even after they're broken up.
I know that love is important, and that you have to keep aside your ego when it comes to the person you love.
But there's something called self-respect and self-esteem which is not just different from ego but also an extremely important quality in any person, especially in a character of a youth show.
In the present times, I see no reason for the Creatives not to show Neha as a character with self-esteem.
You may love someone with all your heart and soul, but NOBODY, and I repeat, NOBODY is more important than your self-respect.
And in any case, if you do not respect yourself, nobody is going to respect you.
The character of Neha could have been shown so differently after her break up with Vicky, and could have been turned into an inspirational figure for the young audiences of the show, but on the other hand, she's shown as this almost psychotically possessive and pretty much desperate ex-girlfriend.
She could have been shown as a strong modern Indian girl who is concentrating on her dance and her friends after her break up.
And however much she misses him, she would not let it show on her face because she's strong enough to conceal her weaknesses.
It's extremely disappointing as a viewer of this youth show, let alone as a female viewer.
Post-break up, Neha's character could have been one of the most inspiring characters had they explored the potential of the transformation from a girl in love, to a girl trying to find her way in life after her break up.
I know that yesterday's scene in between Neha and Vicky was not triggered by her jealousy, but I found it pretty pathetic and desperate anyway.
I hate to use words like 'desperate' to describe Neha's character, but the Creatives leave me no choice.
And frankly, after what they've done to this character, she doesn't need to be degraded.
-From and extremely disappointed female viewer.
