Oh please. The film did NOT work solely based on Ranbir and his starpower. YES, he is a major factor but not the only factor.

Whether people want to give credit to her or not, Deepika is also a major reason- her popularity post Cocktail has risen so much. She got as much critical acclaim for Naina as Ranbir did for Bunny, heck some even said she was better.

Credit should also be given to Kalki and Adi. Kalki was great as Aditi and Adi is the new sensation post Aashiqui, I am sure there were so many people who watched the film just for him.

The music is such an important factor, all the songs were so popular! The production house and good release date also helped.

Sorry Ranbir's PR, but this wasn't a one man show.

In my opinion, it worked for the coming together of the ex lovers Ranbir and Deepika. Nothing else.

But the collections are massive...you really think Ranbir and Deepika's names are enough to pull in such crowds? Anyways the promotions of this film really pissed me off so I hope if they work together again, it's after 2-3 years. 😳
