No Leave for Ram Kapoor--article.

Thanks to producer Ekta Kapoor, the actor has to report to the sets even on New Year's Eve

Ram Kapoor is one actor who is still clueless about his New Year's Eve plans. The buzz is that Ekta Kapoor has rejected his application of leave. Like most people Ram wanted to go out of town to usher in the New Year, but producer Ekta and her creative team of Kasamh Se took a joint decision that he won't be given leave again. Reason? Last month Ram had taken leave to spend some time with his family in Goa. The actor was away for a whole week which took a toll on his co-stars, who had to work overtime to fill in the gaps for him. "He can't take off now!" said a source.

"We're working on a weekly show and if everybody takes off together, how are we going to work?" reasons a source.

Obviously, Ram isn't too happy with this news. He had already made plans for the New Year with his family. "I was supposed to go to Bangkok with my wife Gautmi and a few close friends. But I was told that I was required to be in Mumbai, and report to the sets regularly," says Ram. The others actors of Kasamh Se have been granted leave for the New Year. Prachi Desai will be in Bali with Ekta and friends, Naman Shaw will be celebrating in Bangkok while Roshni Chopra will be off for her honeymoon.

So, it's just Ram who will be holding fort along with a few character actors. "I don't know what's happening. I'm trying my best to convince the creative team of Kasamh Se to set me free for three days. I don't wish to celebrate New Year in Mumbai," adds Ram. With his co-stars looking forward to the excitement, Ram is certainly feeling left out
