India-Forums.com Servers Upgrade Complete

Hi All,

The migration has been successfully done. I am testing the performance gain and also if their is any error.

For all computer enthusiasts:

- We have moved all our India-Forums servers including the database to 64bit version which means more stability and good performance.

- Being a computer freak, I really love working on the latest computers and servers and it was the first time I got my hands on 2 x Xeon Quadcore Processors server.

- India Forums not just gives me the fun and enjoyment it has also helped me in learning new things. Even my personal coding style has improved a lot cause now I know through my experience and expiriments on india-forums it really helps me on other projects.

I am really thrilled after the successful migration 😃 Wish you all a merry christmas. 😊

Do post your feedback and whether you noticed any significant improvement in speed.

Note: you can notice more when you are making some post.

Those 2-3hrs without I-F weren't good.

Whoo, thank god it's back in action! So many things that I had to do propped up in that time 😆 😆 😆

There's a tremendous speed in posting.. Not a BIG difference, but it shows if you sit and try to notice it... 😛

Another thing, it's great to hear about the server shift!!!

And lastly, Xeon Quad core??????? OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! 😲

Yea..i can see the difference in speed now..it doesn't take long anymore to get onto IF..yayy 😉 😃 😆

Congrats. The speed has indeed improved.

I do see something else. My AV of 7-8 months which was there until yesterday (it was uploaded from my comp when that facility was available) has disappeared since this morning(US time). Any idea if it is related to the upgrade and its effects?
