Maan took up KC's responsibility at a very young age. Love the bond he shares with Dadi.
Sasha is incorrigible! She is never going to get it, is she?
What a way to end the part!
Can't wait for Geet's reaction to Maan's reply.
Do continue soon.

Chapter 11
It was 11:30 am and she could not resist anymore. She called him. Maan was in a meeting with Adi and Sasha. He saw Geet calling him and thought, "Ab yaad kaise kiya madam ne, mujhe"
He excused himself and answered the call, "Yes", not taking the name as Sasha and Adi were seated in front of him.
"I sent you a text in the morning"
"Hmmm, so?", he said.
"You are supposed to reply"
"I did not see it- other wise I would have", he said. Sasha and Adi meanwhile were working on some budget proposition- when Maan heard Sasha say, "It will work to $1.8 million".
"What's keeping you so busy?", asked Geet and Maan had obviously not heard her question since he was listening to Sasha and Adi's discussion.
"Sasha", he said, immediately, to suggest something, while completely forgetting that he was holding Geet on the line.
"Kya?", screamed Geet.
"Geet ek minute", he said softly, still not realizing her question and his answer was boiling her insides. He turned to Sasha, "Sasha, you're doing it wrong. Check!"
Sasha looked confused, "Oh is it?", and looked at the sheet again- before Maan nodded in reply to her question.
Maan then got back to answering the call and said, "Yes honey!"
Both Sasha and Geet were shocked. Sasha was happy that Maan had called her "honey" while Geet burned in anger that Sasha was addressed as "honey".
"Honey?", she said, raising her eye-brow.
"Haan Geet, bolo", he said, making it actually sound as if he had called Sasha, "honey".
"Mr Maan Khurana, main phone rakh rahin hoon", she said angrily.
"Lekin phone kyun kiya, tumne?", he asked, still not understanding the blunder he had created while trying to manage two women at once.
"Yahin sunne ke liye ki aap apne kaam se aur aapke employees se kitna pyaar karte hain", she said and hung-up.
"Ajeeb hain", thought Maan and checked her message.
"Geet, when wife's not in town- what will any husband do? ;)", he replied smirking.
"Watch TV, read magazines, go to sleep early, play some golf, drink some extra wine- alone of course", she replied angrily.
"Geet, don't act innocent", he replied while Sasha and Adi worked and re-checked the calculations again.
"I wish I was actually innocent", she replied.
"Oh you're not is it?"
"Unfortunately no!", she texted back.
"Good! Then your question is answered", he replied.
"No, it isn't".
"When you aren't innocent- then you should know what husbands can do when wives aren't around. So what is the need for me to answer?"
"Mr. Khurana- don't act smart"
"I don't act or pretend to be- what I already am, love", he said- using "love" for Geet for the first time so openly.
Geet, was in too much anger to realize that Maan had used the word "love" for her.
"Maan are you answering my question or not?", she asked.
"What are the consequences of both?", he asked.
"Grave", she responded.
"Then I'm not answering. Kuch tuo faaida honi chahiye tumhaare saawalo ka jawab dene ke liye"
"Faaida? Har baath pe faaida aur nuksaan dekthe hain aap?"
"Haan Geet-I'm a businessman at the end of the day, you know"
"theek hain, Mat dijiye jawab", she replied and threw the phone away into her ward robe and walked away to play with her nephew.
Maan knew she would be angry and hence did not respond any further. He had also gotten into further discussions with Adi and Sasha and forgot about Geet's conversation.
Geet managed to stay angry until she got back to Delhi, Maan managed to work, and travel until his family came back to Delhi.
Tuesday afternoon- 1:45pm, Khurana Mansion
The Khuranas had returned after their trip to HP. They freshened a bit and met at the dining table for lunch.
Nakul got lunch ready and each of them ate quietly not asking or talking anything.
After lunch, Daadi asked Dev, "You heading to office?"
Before Dev could answer Nakul spoke, "Saab agar aap jaa rahe ho tuo mujhe bataa dijiye. Maan saab ne subeh se kuch nahin khaaya"
Daadima and Geet both looked at Nakul worried.
"Kyun?", asked Dev.
"Pata nahin- kuch meetings the shayed. Aap jab se HP gaye ho- saab ne na theek se kuch khaaya aur na hi theek se rest kiya. Aur aaj driver keh raha tha ki Maan saab bahut hi tired lag rahe the"
"Ohho", sighed Dev.
Daadiji took the phone and called Shreyasi. She did not bother to say a hi or a hello to her. She just asked Shreyasi, "What was Maan's schedule like, this past weekend, Shreyasi?"
"Hectic- lot of site visits and meetings", answered Shreyasi honestly.
"What is he doing now?"
"In a meeting with Sasha"
"Thank you!", said Daadima and hung-up. She looked at the others at the table and said, ":Site visits and meetings"
"Kyun? Main wapas aane ke baad jaane hi waala tha. Why did bro have to go and strain himself?"
"Well Dev, it's too late now to think about all that", said Geet. She turned to Nakul, "Aap jaaye".
"Aap aaram kijiye Daadiji. We'll talk to Maan later", said Geet.
She then turned to Naintara and Dev and said, "You too!" They nodded and Naintara got the table cleared.
Geet sat on the bed for sometime but unable to sleep, quickly got up and walked downstairs. She found the dining room empty. She enquired where the others were and got an answer that they were resting.
"Theek hain, Main bahar jaa rahin hoon", she said. She walked out of the mansion and took the keys from the driver.
"Madam", said the driver.
"Main khud drive karungi", she said.
"Ji", he said and moved away. She drove out of the Khurana Mansion.
=------------------------------------------------------------
"Sir, you haven't had your lunch?", called Shreyasi to remind Maan about his lunch. She called him on the Intercom. Maan had pressed the speaker button so Sasha could hear too. She rolled her eyes.
"I will, in a few minutes. I want to get this done", he told her.
"Sir, but'" and Maan continued, "I will Shreyasi. Just a few minutes", he repeated.
"Ok", she said and hung up.
"I don't understand how you can be so patient with her?", asked Sasha, annoyed, why he never spoke to her so kindly.
"Sasha, you've asked this question like a trillion times now and I've been patient to answer it every time. I don't have the patience to answer it today. Let's finish this", he said, with a stern look on his face.
"Yea, okay!", she said and continued with the work.
Exactly half hour later, the intercom rang again. Maan got irritated a little. "Shreyasi", he sighed and Sasha said, "Okay, I'll answer it".
She pulled the phone towards herself and put it on speaker. She did not wait for the answer instead said, "Shreyasi, MK ne kahan tha that he needs to finish this work. Tum baar baar kyun phone kar rahen ho, aur hume kyun pareshaan kar rahen ho?"
The line went blank after that. "She hung up on me?", cribbed Sasha. In a few minutes, the door fell open and Shreyasi walked in. Both Sasha and Maan turned to look at her.
"I don't understand. Did I just speak to you in latin?", yelled Sasha at Shreyasi.
"You spoke to Geet Maan Khurana, not Shreyasi", came Geet's voice from behind Shreyasi. Maan looked at Geet walk in and grab a chair beside Sasha.
"Shreyasi, please get the files that Dev wanted ready. He said he'll email it to Maan. Let me see if he copied you on it", she said, getting up and walking to Maan's side. She went close to him and bent over to look at his laptop. She opened a sticky and typed
"Mr. Khurana, this meeting should end now".
Maan was surprised but did not say anything. He was good at maintaining straight faces and not showing any expressions or emotions.
"Ah well, he hasn't sent it yet. Thank you Shreyasi. I'll get back to you", she said, smiling politely.
"Sure Madam. Anytime", said Shreyasi, winking at Geet.
"Sasha, the meeting is over", declared Geet, raising her eye-brow and standing straight beside Maan, with her right hand on her hip.
Sasha's mouth fell open and looked blankly at Maan. Maan did not say anything.
"Sasha, if you don't mind", she said, pointing to the door, gesturing Sasha should get out.
"I thought people need appointments before walking into your chamber", she said, softly yet arrogantly.
"Yes, strangers, clients and his employees need appointments before walking into this chamber. His wife doesn't need one", said Geet with a lopsided smile.
"Sasha, we'll meet after I have lunch", said Maan, interfering realizing the situation would stretch a bit too far.
"Okay MK", said Sasha, looking angrily at Geet. She got up and walked out of the chamber. Geet waited for the glass door to close and turned to Maan.
"I don't understand how you can be careless and workaholic", she told him angrily. "Why should someone remind you and follow-up with you to find out if you've had your food, or if you've taken proper rest? Do you have any idea how worried your Daadima is, that for the last few days you've hardly taken care of yourself? Shouldn't you be taking care of her, instead of her taking care of you, Mr. Maan Singh Khurana?", yelled Geet
Maan looked at her quietly and did not say anything. "Why are you staring at me, now? Even now you don't have to have lunch, is it?", she asked him.
He got up from his chair and moved closer to her. "I cant believe you absolutely don't care for yourself. How can you '..?" and He placed his hand on her waist and gently pulled her closer. He bent closer and gently kissed her cheek.
"I don't need to care for myself as long as Daadima and you care for me, Geet", he whispered in her ear.
