PART 73

Next day Geet was all prepared to meet an aloof Maan, she was prepared to meet his gaze as if nothing happened last night. But to her surprise he remembered everything

At the breakfast table

M: DM I am going shopping with Geet after lunch, do you need anything special to be brought for her?

DM: I have made a list, I will give you as soon as I complete it, and BTW bring few of my things also

M: very DM

G: DM I am again saying I don't need anything, I have already enough of things

M: who is asking you?

G: you can't dictate me Maan

DM: but I can, or have I already lost any hold on you

G: DM its not that

M: topic closed, BTW DM there is a good news for you

DM: what news?

M: last night you seem to be discussing my marriage with Geet

He winked at the old lady

DM: yes, I am really worried (taking the clue)

M: I have told her to keep her eyes open and find some suitable match for me in Jaipur, I have heard girls there are quite a wife material, right Geet

G: I don't know

DM: thank you Geet, I will wait to hear from you

The rest of the breakfast was quite.

After lunch Maan took Geet shopping, as per DM's instructions, he forced her to buy jeans, short kutris, stalls, long skirts, suitable tops and so on and so forth.

The dresses were quite different from the one's she usually wore.

Things were settled and after much of tears she left the next day. Maan had wanted to drive her to Jaipur, but DM scolded him.

DM: why do you want go with her all the way to Jaipur? Don't you have office?

M: actually DM it is for the first time she will be going so far, don't you think we should at least go with her to drop her

DM: we will go but only till the railway station

M: WHAT! She will go by train? Why not plane?

DM: Maan its about time you let her go on her own, and what's the harm we will be there when she boards the train and in 4:25 hours she will be in Jaipur. And above all it is AC train so what's the harm

M: but DM

DM: no, Maan either you tell her who she is to you or it is I who decide for her

M: as you wish, I will not interrupt (he was defeated by his DM)

Geet's train departed at 6:05 am and she safely reached Jaipur at 10:30 am, Arjun was there to receive her.

The first day without Geet was very sad at KM, Angel missed her and so did DM, but the person who missed her most was Maan. While others shared that they missed her, he just tried to keep himself busy with work.

At Jaipur

Geet joined the office the very day after lunch. She was a fast learner and within two days she started working in full speed. She worked harder to stop feeling home sick, by the time Wednesday came she spent the most part of her night crying.

At KM & KC

Maan did not feel like coming for lunch, his daily routine changed a lot, he would see Angel off at the bus stop and then leave for office grabbing some juice or fruit, he did not feel like sitting on that table, he could not tolerate that empty seat.

He called DM and asked her to send his lunch to office. He would return at the time when Angel would be awake after her noon nap. He would play with her and ask her about her school. Then he would go back to work and return late at night

By the time it was Thursday he could take it no more. Only last night he could feel Geet calling him.

no juttas for me please, I know this part has nothing much but the feeling of homesickness but give me a little time I am trying to type next part also

PART 74

On Friday morning she decided to go to Delhi during the weekend, she booked her tickets for the evening and informed DM that she will arrive at 10:40 pm that night and stay for weekend and leave on Monday morning.

Arjun and Anwesha understood her plight; it has been for the first time she had left her daughter alone.

By 11:30 pm she reached KM and found DM and Angel waiting for her, she hugged DM and Angel.

A: Mamma you hev oliday

G: yes 2 day holiday

A: you slip with Angil today

G: yes I sleep with my angel tonight and tomorrow night and the next night

A: vely ood

G: very very good, angel missed Mamma

A: Mamma miss Angil

G: yes sweet heart

She took a light dinner and went to her room holding Angel in her arms, she checked Maan's room , the door was ajar, maybe he is asleep

Next day at the breakfast table she was sitting when she found that Nakul has not placed a plate for Maan. She looked at the clock it was time and since she has come Maan was never late for breakfast and Saturday was rather his working day. DM observed her

DM: Geet you are no eating anything

G: wo, DM where is Maan?

Before DM could say Angel said

A: Mamma, Papa not ome.

G: why?

A: he gome out for ofish work

G: when?

A: (countingher fingers) on thuthday

G: oh! When will he come

A: Monday, he promised to play with me when I return from scool

G: Ok

Geet felt bad but did not say anything

Meanwhile, far in Bangalore, Maan was talking to a client at a breakfast meeting

C: its our pleasure Mr. Khurana that you came on your own, we have expected Ms. Sasha as usual

M: yes, It was a last minute decision (I was feeling very bad at Delhi and wanted to run away from her thoughts)

C: so what do you say about the progress

{leave it girls why discuss this boring meeting}

Geet left on Monday morning and Maan arrived home at 7 am. The moment he entered KM he knew that she had been there

M: Nakul, Geet has come

N: yes she came for the weekend but has gone back only an hour ago.

Maan sighed in frustration and left for the outhouse, all he needed was a Tai Chi session.

😆no juttas for me please, well they did not meet on the weekend, whose mistake Geet's that she did not tell Maan OR Maan's that he was not there😉
