TV hottie Sangeeta Ghosh was given a hotter look in the much hyped Viraasat. But the serial didn't live up to viewer expectations and is going off air soon. But Sangeeta hasn't lost faith and hopes for the best.

Q: Viraasat is going off air? What do you think is the reason behind the same?
It is not certain yet as nothing of this sort has been conveyed to us. We may just take a break for a small period and stage a comeback on some other time slot. The final verdict is yet to come. Working in Viraasat was an amazing experience for sure. I am proud of doing it as this was not like any other serial where everyday characters get introduced and leave without making any mark. Here just six seven characters made an attempt to run the show successfully. It is a really different show.

Q:Viraasat was a much hyped show. What went wrong?
It was hyped because it had names that mattered. Star plus, B.R Chopra and actors like Aman Verma, Rohit Roy, Kiran Kumar, Amar Upadha and Jayati Bhatia can surely make anything hyped. Expectations were sky high. In Viraasat nothing went wrong as such. It is not melodramatic. It has its own class of viewers. Chemistry between the technical crew and the artists was good enough. I feel even the TRPs were good.

Q: How was it working with the talented Ravi Chopra?
Raviji directed only a few scenes. Sidhartth Sen Gupta, Arvind Babbar and Jatin helped us give our very best. So I cannot comment on him.

Q: Now since the show is going off-air, how disappointing has the entire episode been?
As I said earlier, this is not certain. And no one wants to even think of the show coming to an end.

Q: Before the serial happened there was much talk about your bold scenes in the show. Your take on the same!
My bold scenes were done in the beginning. As a daughter-in-law, I had to take a stand on certain crucial issues and I would love to do such scenes if the story progression demands the same in the future.

Q: It is said that you shared great chemistry with your co-star Rohit Roy.
It was not only with Rohit but I shared an equally great chemistry with everyone including Jayati Bhatia, Amar Upaadhay, Aman Verma and Kiran Kumar. And the reason behind this great bonding was the professionalism of all the artistes. We did our job without bothering what the media says about the show or us. Aman still comes to the shooting with cold coffee for me. Kiran Kumar always brings eatables for everyone. It is like a family.

Q: What about the recent hot magazine cover with you and Rohit together? Why are you doing it now? Don't you think it would have been more useful if it was clicked when the show was launched?
We didn't go to the magazine people, they had come to us. It is not at all related to Viraasat. It was a separate deal.

Q: You are considered to be one of the sexiest ladies in the Tellywood. Isn't it a heady feeling?
Who wouldn't be happy hearing something like that? It is a great compliment that can raise anyone's spirits.

Q: Are you hosting the Grand Finale of Nach Baliye? Who do you think stand better chances of winning the contest? Who has been your favourite jodi so far?
Yes I am. And I can't tell you about the winner if you ask me to do so. I can't categorise someone as good or bad because there is always some scope for improvement. They worked really hard and this is the only criteria on the basis of which a couple would be declared winners. But I can just give you a clue by admitting that my favourite jodi happen to be my good friends.

Q: Your upcoming projects?
None. But He (God) is great and may show me the way to find something really interesting.

Q: You have done television for a long time now. Don't you want to try out Bollywood?
Yes. I am planning to do movies. Let's see what happens.
