Chapter Three: EARTHQUAKE!!!

"Sorry"

"Not interested"

"Sorry"

"You can say the word 'sorry' a million times, Arnav Singh Raizada, but my answer is not going to change. Am I clear?"

"Yes"

"Good. Is there anything else you would like to say?"

"I apologize for accidentally throwing the cake on you"

"NO"

Hari Prakash could feel his head spinning as he followed the conversation. He could hardly be blamed. For Khushi and Arnav, as they played their game of sorry or not sorry, they were walking around the room in circles. Suddenly he glanced up at the chandelier and saw that it was shaking and so was the fan. He glanced confusedly at Arnav and Khushi. They didn't look that heavy. This could mean only one thing.

And so Arnav and Khushi pretty little game was rudely interrupted as Hari Prakash shouted "EARTHQUAKE!!!!"

Arnav and Khushi were squished under the table, she pressed against his chest. If this were a po*n movie, Arnav was certain this moment would have been accentuated with loud ' erm, whatever. As for Hari Prakash, he had run away, shouting "EARTHQUAKE-EARTHQUAKE". Arnav was pretty sure by now the whole of United States of America knew that New Delhi, India was experiencing an earthquake.

"Once the earthquake gets over, I will resume NOT talking to you" Khushi suddenly shouted.

"The earthquake ended ten minutes ago" said a voice from somewhere above.

Khushi and Arnav scrambled to get out of the table. "Ouch!" they shouted simultaneously as they banged their heads. Rubbing their heads, they emerged from underneath the table and Arnav felt his mouth pop open.

Standing in front of them was a crying Payal. "There's going to be no wedding" she wailed and ran out of the room.

Arnav and Khushi looked at each, worried. What the hell happened?

In the original incident that inspired this chapter, the earthquake had happened and the two people WERE squished under the table for something like three hours, while the earthquake lasted only ten seconds. I have NO idea what they were doing for three hours under a table, but we can always keep guessing. We can rule out shooting of the po*n movie though, I'm pretty sure there were no camera's around.
